Ken Timmerman’s Threat Watch, www.kentimmerman.com 10-13-23

Putin managed to take himself off the front pages in the US this week, which suited him just fine. Instead, he was meeting quietly with Turkey’s Islamist president Tayyip Recep Erdogan, where the two plotted how they could bring aid and succor to Hamas in Gaza. There was talk of launching a new “flotilla,” like Turkey’s “Freedom Flotilla” in 2010, when “activists” wielding body-length iron bars whacked Israeli commandos firing blanks. As I mention in my weekly segment on Prophecy Today (which airs as always at 1 PM on Saturday), if they attempt to bring aid by sea from Syria to Gaza, they will run afoul not just of the Israeli navy, but of the US 6th fleet and the Gerald Ford carrier group currently in the Med. Will Team Biden interdict them? Or find some mealy-mouthed excuse to let them pass. We’ll see. But Putin’s cold shoulder to Israel said it all. It was “Back to the USSR.” After I was taken hostage in Beirut during the 1982 war, I returned many times to that city. During one of those trips I was given a tour of the tunnels the Soviets had built for the PLO near the Sports Stadium, tunnels so large they could park 10 ton trucks with Katyusha rocket launchers inside, take them out to shoot, then scoot back under cover. You can read about that in And the Rest is History. Hamas is doing the same thing today. This has been the worst week in the history of Israel. And it’s all because of the Islamist ideology that drives Hamas to murder Jews. I wrote a book about this twenty years ago that could have come off the presses yesterday, called Preachers of Hate. If you want to learn the origins of this horrific Jew-hatred, buy the book. Spoiler alert: “Quran says…..” So tell me what the Biden administration really thinks about Iran. Just one month ago, on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks on America, they released $6 billion in frozen assets to the Iranian regime, moving the money to Hamas-sheltering Iran-ally Qatar. But all this past week, Admiral Kirby and other administration spokespersons have been insisting that the U.S. intelligence community has “no proof” that Iran was involved in leading or organizing or even funding the Hamas massacres. And yet, despite that pledge of Iranian regime innocence, on Thursday they told Congress they had instructed Qatar to re-freeze the money. So which is it? Iran is the world’s top sponsor of terrorism and we should cut them off from funding? Or they are Biden’s best buddy. (I guess the Democrats want both). As I write this early on Friday afternoon, Israel has not yet unleashed the dogs of war into Gaza itself. But I can tell you how they are going to do it. It will be hot and hard and heavy, Fallujah on steroids. Bibi Netanyahu has learned the lessons of Israel’s last failed war and won’t repeat them. If you want to learn more, read my column in today’s Frontpage mag, the online voice of the David Horowitz Freedom Center. I stand with Israel. I trust that you do, too. Yours in freedom, Ken PS: As always, you can listen live to Prophecy Today Weekend at 1 PM this Saturday on 104.9 FM or 550 AM in the Jacksonville, Fl, area, or by using the Jacksonville Way Radio app. Otherwise, catch the podcast later. |
