Over the past ten years, the Democrat party has become, in my view, very dark and demonic. Almost every position the Democrat party takes on the key issues of the day are opposed to the Godly and Biblical worldview. While there are a few moderate Democrats left, they are very few in number, especially in leadership. And I believe that no true Christian should be a member of the Democrat party. If they are, they are very deceived. And I urge them to come out! Millions of Democrats have left their party since 2020, and that trend continues in 2025.
The Democrat party is now in favor of abortion, same sex marriage, the LGBTQ/homosexual agenda, gay marriage, socialism, communism, gender change surgery, biological males in women’s sports and restrooms, racist DEI programs and affirmative action/reverse discrimination, pornographic books in the schools, Palestinian statehood in the Holy Land, Globalism not nationalism, illegal immigration and open borders, sanctuary cities, legal rights for narco-terrorists, rioting to achieve political goals, weaponization of government against their political enemies, and even violence and murder against their political enemies.
All of these Democrat positions are contrary to Scripture and Judeo-Christian values. In regard to abortion, God says that He “knew us before He formed us in the womb” (Jeremiah 1:5), and “Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13) Both the Old and New Testament condemn homosexuality as a serious sin and “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Romans 1; I Timothy 1:10). God says that He created man as male and female, and we cannot change our gender. (Genesis 1:27;Matthew 19:4). Jesus said marriage is only between one man and one woman. Matthew 19:8. God says to be modest with your physical body (1 Timothy 2:9;1 Thessalonians 4:4-5.; 1 Corinthians 6:19). Capitalism and private property and personal initiative are consistent with Scripture; socialism and communism are not.(Matthew 25:24-30; 2 Thessalonians 3:10-13; Proverbs 14:23). Sanctuary cities and illegal immigration are not Biblical, because God created borders of nations and submission to authority and law and order is very Godly. Psalm 147:14; Acts 17:26; Deuteronomy 32:8; Number 34; Romans 13:1-2; 1 Peter 2:13. DEI and affirmative action stir up racial hatred which is not Biblical (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 22:39; James 2:9). Pornographic books in the schools violate the command of Scripture to not lead children astray and to not be involved in lust and sexual immorality. (Matthew 5:28; Matthew 18:6). God gave the Holy Land to Israel and the Jewish people forever, not to the Arabs or “Palestinians.” (Genesis 12:7;Genesis 15:18;Genesis 17:8). And God clearly condemns murder in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:13).
It is shocking that in many ways, the Democrat party has now become the party of murder and violence. In a recent poll, 56% said that they were OK with the murder of President Trump, and 26% of Democrats in another poll said that they approved of political violence. And 37% said that it was OK to burn down a police station and fight ICE officers. JFK would be appalled at the current Democrat party. Because Democrats have supported the right to abortion, over 65 million babies have been savagely murdered in America over the past 50 years, the American Holocaust. Many Democrat leaders and college professors are antisemitic and anti-Israel. The last eight political violence perpetrators in America were left-wing “transgender” persons. Left-wing Democrats have established so-called “Sanctuary cities and states” to protect illegal immigrants, defy Federal law with riots, and even are trying to kill Federal Border Patrol and ICE agents. Democrats conspired to bring about the scandalous treatment of President Trump in the fraudulent two-year “Russiagate hoax”, and his two fake impeachments. They weaponized the government to try to destroy him and his Presidency, one of the worst scandals in American history. Then, hateful Democrat rhetoric (calling Trump Hitler) then led, in my view, to two assassination attempts on Trump’s life. A liberal young man with a transgender partner murdered Christian advocate Charlie Kirk in cold blood. Liberal Democrats led nationwide violent riots after the death of George Floyd to stir up racial hatred. The Democrat candidate for Attorney General of Virginia recently publicly called for the murder of his opponent and even the murder of his wife and children by shooting them in the head! And an outright socialist and communist who does not even believe in private property and wants the government to control the means of production and government grocery stores has now been elected Mayor of New York City! The Democrat party is now rapidly becoming socialist and communist, and a real threat to our democratic republic, and way of life. We dare not forget the catastrophic, deadly consequences of communism in USSR/Russia and China, where millions of people were murdered at the hands of atheistic, Communistic dictators. There is a spirit of murder now loose in our land that we must bind in Jesus Name. Like Charlie Kirk, all Christians must take a stand for Godly values, and oppose these Democrat party issues.
And no, we cannot be in unity with people or other Christians who are so deceived that they agree with the Democrat party positions on these issues. We cannot hide our head in the sand, and make peace at any cost. Jesus said that He “did not come to bring peace to the world, but a sword” . Matthew 10:34-36. He said that people in our own family would hate us because we take a stand for Him and Godly values. We cannot seek peace with Satan. We are in a major political and spiritual war in America, and we must “speak the truth in love” regardless of the consequences”. Ephesians 4:15. Truth is always more important than peace. You cannot sing Kumbaya with the Devil. Jesus did say that “Blessed are the peacemakers” (Matthew 5:9) and we should seek peace as much as possible in our life. But he did not mean that we should seek peace at any cost. He also said “pick up your cross and follow me”. Matthew 16:24-26. Sometimes you have to go to war to make peace, as we saw in Israel and in World War II. America did not make peace with Hitler; we defeated him by military and the Nazis and world peace followed. God led the nation of Israel into battle many times to utterly destroy God’s pagan enemies. The prophet Jeremiah said that “in the end times, people will say peace, peace where there is no peace.” Jeremiah 6:14; Thessalonians 5:3. This prophesy points to leaders who use comforting words of peace and stability to mislead the people, preventing them from seeing the true spiritual or political danger that they are in as a nation. It is a warning of impending judgment by God and the need for repentance. It implies a superficial healing of the nation’s spiritual and moral illness, leading to a false sense of well being.
In 1978 I attended the Church of the Apostles in Fairfax, Virgina (a Charismatic Episcopal church) and found the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that changed my life. However, after I left the church, the Church of the Apostles had a major spiritual split with the Episcopal church over the ordination of homosexual priests. As a result, they lost their building and their church came to an end. They could not be in unity or at peace with those who took an ungodly stance. They took a stand for the Bible and Biblical values. Truth was more important than unity and peace. That scenario has played out all over the world in many churches and denominations. We must not compromise with Satan!
The Catholic, Episcopal and Lutheran churches devote whole Sundays to the issue of Pro-Life and Abortion, and they discuss this and other social and political issues from the pulpit to insure that their congregations have the Word of the Lord on these key issues, and that they can discuss them with Biblical brilliance with unbelievers.
I believe that Christians who avoid politics, and dislike President Trump, Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA are very deceived. Politics is very important to God, and it is very important that Christians watch, read and hear the news of the day, know what is going on in the nation and world, what God is doing in every arena, and how to pray intelligently. We must be light and sale and engaged! President Trump is the greatest Christian President of my lifetime because he has boldly taken a stand for our faith and for the truth. The death of Charlie Kirk and his legacy is now bringing revival to our land. Jesus was very divisive and offensive to many people and was “politically inflammatory.” He did not seek to have unity and peace with the Pharisees or with others who were ungodly. He called the Pharisee leaders derogatory names such as “Sons of the Devil, and a “Brood of vipers,” and “Whitewashed tombs filled with dead mens’ bones inside.” John 8:44; Matthew 12:34. He spoke the truth in love and addressed the social and political issues of the day such as paying taxes, marriage, divorce, adultery and murder. He said that if they hated him, they will hate you. Jesus said to “take up your cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24-26. It is very important for the Christians of America to speak Biblical truth in regard to the key social and political issues of the day, and not be cowards and “politically correct.” Cowards go the Lake of Fire. Revelation 21:8. We must be light and salt in our culture, and take back the Seven Mountains of Influence! Matthew 5:13-16. We need to start Turning Point USA chapters in all of our schools, so the next generation will be taught the truth about the key social issues and the Gospel.
I believe that Charlie Kirk was a modern day Apostle Paul and martyr who took a stand for righteousness and Judeo-Christian values and it cost him his life. But he decided that truth was more important than unity and peace. We must follow his great example!
God says in the Bible to “have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them”. Ephesians 5:11. And, God also tells us to “speak the truth in love.” Ephesians 4:15. The most Christ-like thing we can do is to speak the truth in love!
Many people are Democrats because their parents were Democrats, and they have been Democrats all their life. There may even be some born-again Christians in the Democrat party. But the Democrat party has changed radically since JFK, as I have discussed above. If you are a Christian, and a member of the Democrat party, I urge you to read the Scriptures I have cited, and pray about leaving that party as soon as possible. I believe that this is an important prophetic word for the church in America. I do not believe that Jesus would be a member of the current Democrat party!
