Do you know potential elementary school students in Nassau County? To We the People – As you know from many of my prior emails, Cornerstone Classical Academy is planning to open a pre-K thru 5th grade school in Wildlight (Nassau County) in August of 2027. Just as with the Cornerstone Jax campus, the Wildlight campus would add one additional grade level each year thereafter until it eventually becomes a complete pre-K thru 12th grade classical academy (i.e. the original 5th graders who start in the fall of 2027 would become the first 12th graders to graduate in the spring of 2035). While the community planners of Wildlight have proactively invited Cornerstone to open a school there, the administration of Cornerstone Jax needs an assessment of the number of families in Nassau County who would be interested in having their children attend such a Classical Academy in Wildlight should a campus be built there. Moreover, in order for Cornerstone to gain the necessary state approvals to open a Wildlight campus within two years, they must submit a charter school application for a Wildlight campus by August 11, 2025. The application must provide evidence that there is currently enough interest from potential students within Nassau County to justify the granting of such a charter. How you can help: If you have family or friends or know anyone with children currently in 3rd grade or younger who would be interested in having their child attend a Cornerstone Classical Academy in Wildlight beginning in the fall of 2027, please have them complete and submit the “Interest Form” at the attached link. Thank you! Express Interest in Attending Cornerstone Wildlight 2027 >> |
