Ken Timmerman’s Threat Watch, www.kentimmerman.com, 12-15-23

Russia and Iran are preparing to expand their military relationship, with a flurry of new arms deals expected in both directions. Russia is eager to sell the mullahs big ticket items including Sukhoi-35 jet fighters, Mi-28 attack helicopters, and Yak-130 trainers. And Iran is equally eager to expand its lucrative supply of kamikaze and attack drones to Russia. Putin met with Iranian regime president Raisi for five hours last week in Moscow, right after a one-day blitz to the UAE and Saudi Arabia where Putin played in the U.S. sandbox. While the Iran-Russia relationship is not new, the extent and depth of military ties are expanding rapidly, much to the alarm of Israeli prime minister Netanyahu, who got the cold shoulder from Putin during a call this week when he asked the Russia president to rethink his support for Hamas. None of this happened under President Trump. President Biden continues to tread a fine line when it comes to Israel’s war on Hamas. For now, he has maintained full US support for Israel, but the warning signs have already emerged with Biden’s mumbling that Israel needs to pay more attention to “civilian casualties” in Gaza. Biden also parroted the left’s absurd allegation of “indiscriminate bombing” of civilians. Perhaps the only thing holding him back from demanding an immediate ceasefire is the growing realization, conveyed to him by Sec/State Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who both visited Israel recently, that Israel will not back off until it has crushed Hamas militarily. So far, best estimates are that the IDF has only destroyed 25% of Hamas’s military capabilities. Could Biden finally be learning not to make a threat he can’t carry out? I talk about these and Putin’s annual snooze fest with the Russian “press,” the disappearance of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, and more in this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend.
