Ken Timmerman’s Threat Watch, www.kentimmerman.com 4-18-25

Holy Week 2025 has been busy. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was in Paris for talks with European leaders over the fate of the Russia-Ukraine war, and left those meetings on a somber note. Seeing little progress from the Ukrainians, the Russians, or the Europeans, Rubio told reporters that the peace talks could collapse if progress was not made soon. “I’m talking about a matter of days, whether or not this is doable,” he said. “It’s not our war We didn’t start it,” he said several times. It wasn’t hard to detect the frustration in his voice. Rubio traveled to Paris after what appears to have been a “Come to Jesus” moment on Tuesday in the Situation Room with the entire national security team. On the agenda at that meeting was not only the Russia-Ukraine talks, the tariff wars with China and the EU, but also the disastrous first session of Special Envoy Steve Witkoff’s talks with the Iranians over their nuclear weapons program. Remember, Witkoff left that meeting the preceding Saturday, April 12, saying he thought the Iranians should be able to enrich uranium up to 3.67%, but not to 20% or 60%, as they have been doing. Why was that a big deal? Because, for starters, the president had said publicly that the Iranians had to dismantle their program, not put artificial limits on it as they pretended to do under the 2015 Iran nuclear deal negotiated by Obama and Kerry. I did my best to help Witcoff with a “cheat sheet” with the do’s and don’ts of negotiating with the Iranians, but it appears he didn’t read it until he was called onto the carpet in the Situation Room on Tuesday. (Readers can find it using this direct link or on the blog page of my website, kentimmerman.com). The reason enrichment is a no-no is because the enrichment centrifuges are like a dual-motor Tesla – you know, the kind that Trump just bought from Elon Musk and lets his staff members drive. Trump says to the staffers, enjoy the car, just don’t take it up above 30 mph. Sure boss, they say. And once they get out on the Beltway, they’re doing 90. If you can enrich to 3.67%, there are no inherent or technical limitations to enriching to 93%, which is weapons grade. Beyond that, the Iranians have zero right to nuclear technology because they have repeatedly violated the Nonproliferation Treaty, which grants non-nuclear weapons states access to civilian nuclear technology if – and only if – they utterly renounce any actions that would suggest they want to build weapons. Iran’s nuclear weapons program was first exposed in 2003 to the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Israelis further documented Iran’s intent when they stole their nuclear weapons archive from a Tehran warehouse in 2018 in what has got to be one of the most amazing intelligence operations of all times. So if we know anything, we know that the Iranians are doing their best to build a bomb – in fact, an entire arsenal of bombs. And that’s what Trump wants to stop. But while all of these are important — and perhaps momentous — developments, nothing was more important this week than Trump’s “Presidential Message on Holy Week, 2025.” Last Easter, the imposter in the White House celebrated – get this: “Transgender Visibility Day.” Joe Biden claims he is a Catholic and he celebrated not Easter but some travesty of woke culture that has broken families and destroyed lives. Not so Donald Trump.”This week is a time of reflection for Christians to memorialize Jesus’ crucifixion—and to prepare their hearts, minds, and souls for His miraculous Resurrection from the dead,” Trump’s proclamation reads.”During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross. “In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation. “Through His suffering, we have redemption. Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins. Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life. “On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness—signaling that death does not have the final word.” There is much more, and all of it is worth reading. Google it and you won’t regret it. Franklin Graham posted it to Facebook, noting that Trump’s “message about the meaning and significance of Easter is as strong and clear as any sermon.” Trump ended by praying for “an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation.” Imagine that. A president in the White House who has dedicated himself to Jesus Christ. As expected, the bigots had a field day. I discuss this, as well as China’s ongoing cyberwar with the United States and Qatar’s efforts to suck up to Putin, in this week’s edition of Prophecy Today Weekend.
