I must preface this article by declaring that I have known many wonderful Islamic people in different countries and different cultures and have friends among them. So, my thoughts and facts following, are to be viewed with the proviso that I want to explain what is happening within Islam through Islamic political jihadism.

Americans watching Television are confounded and confused, more so, every day. Their questions are heard everywhere, “What has become of the country I love?” We seem to be surrounded by people that want to harm us, take our possessions through theft and our homes by squatting in them. To add insult to injury, the powers elected to protect us side with the usurpers and thieves. The invaders of our country, now dubbed “newcomers”—for our government does not like the term illegal immigrants—are given money, housing, health care, food, phones, anything imaginable that no citizen can attain, and are thereby rewarded for their, yes, criminal behavior.

What is happening to us? People are in despair. We have Hamas, the assaulter of Israel, roving in our streets blocking traffic, screaming insane demands and threats at us, who once welcomed them. They burn our flags and bellow Death to America, Death to Israel, into our faces. Who are they? Well, if we all had paid better attention we would know. Now, it is not easily explained. It is the culmination of a long ago carefully planned development of Islam to make America an Islamic country.

It began in full force during the years of the Obama administration when an inordinate amount of Mosque- building began, driven by Arabian and Iranian money. That development was followed by mass-resettlements of hundreds of thousands of Somalis in the Minneapolis, and other Minnesota areas. In an article by Ian Tuttle, September 11, 2015, in the National Review, he reports that Minneapolis has the dubious distinction of hosting the largest concentration of Somalis in the United States, according to census records, though Somali leaders say that this underestimates the real population by tens of thousands.

In different publications different numbers show up for different years. The inflow never stopped.

Here, we need to talk about the Somali people. Somalia is the most strife-ridden country in the world. I studied the country for a project in the late eighties and was appalled by the terror reigning in this country, which is steeped in ancient religious, tribal and cultural concepts. Tribal warfare is a constant threat, enhanced by the modern weaponry that had found its way into the country. Everyone who has followed the Somalia story knows about Black Hawk Down and the savagery done to our soldiers, sent there to bring some normalcy to this boiling pot of hatred. Strangely, the horror began with an act of kindness. It was a United Nations effort to alleviate starvation, which then mushroomed into aggression and involved multiple countries in Somalia’s war. Somalia’s neighbors regard this country with contempt, caution and suspicion.

I have been to Kenya a few times and learned of Kenyan concerns firsthand. Somalis, fleeing to Kenya, cause strife and upheaval. Somalis are perceived as lawless, steeped in the belief that Allah made them a superior race entitled to anything they want, a concept stressed by al-Shabab. Al Shabab is a Sunni Islamic terrorist group associated with al Qaida. Al Shabab is still active in Somalia. I witnessed the struggle of the Kenyan Wildlife Service with armed gangs of Somalis, poaching every species of animal they came across. Tanzania, too, I noted, experienced these problems. My personal experience with these immigrants into Kenya was horrifying. My husband and I were supporting an orphanage outside Nairobi. The orphanage cared for 180 boys and girls. Supporters had built dormitories for both sexes and an enormous tent was the schoolhouse. To support the place, we and other supporters had put in a deep well for $38,000., as I remember. My heart still hurts, for I must tell that one- night Somali refugees came with bulldozers and destroyed everything, chasing the Christian children into the night. Their objective was the well. They took it because it could make money. Clean water is at a premium. I hope you can understand the mindset of these people a bit better.

According to Ian Tuttle, in the National Review, Somalis live in self-imposed ghettos and sent money to Islamic State during the Syrian war.

The Obama administration deemed the settlement of Somalis, there were 110,000 living in America by 2017 with more arriving, not enough. And, therefore, Americans received, without giving their consent to the immigration, 187,331 Syrians in 2016 according to American Community Survey, and according to Statista, 88,704 more, between 2020 and 2023. Furthermore, no one knows how many Palestinians are in America. Estimates range from 100,000 to 250,000 according to jstor.org. But these are only a few of the Muslim immigrants. According to Statista about 3,45 million Muslims live in the U.S. According to Gordon -Cornwell Theological Seminary the number is 4,4 million. These Muslims are politically very active and, as last noted, voted by 39% for Bernie Sanders, showing a proclivity to be attracted to communism.

The problem for America is that among these different populations we find adherents to Salafism, Wahabism, to ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood and many other ideological jihadist groups. What they have in common is their flaming desire to establish a global caliphate. Even if this means military attacks on Christians, Jews and any other religious denomination, including agnostics and antitheists and those Muslims that want democracy. Democracy is a concept Salafists want to eradicate.

And that brings us to Hamas and the protests by Palestinians at our colleges, their violent interference on our streets, bridges and thoroughfares, imposing hardship on the population that allowed them to live and prosper here and enter our universities. They scream death to the Jews, death to America because they mean it. They are steeped in Salafism because when the chips are down all these Islamist groups, with their different jihadist names, will stand together and support each other under this Islamic creed.

I am not alone in my belief that the time has come to deal with these purveyors of hate and to deport them to their countries of origin, for what happened in Israel, can happen in another form in America any time. It is time to stand for true democracy and rid America of religious warmongers no matter their creed.

Born in Germany in 1941, Sigrid Weidenweber remembers the horrific aftermath of Fascism. At the end of the war, she found herself living under Communism. Both of these totalitarian regimes left indelible marks on her psyche. She developed a healthy distrust of governments usurping too many powers in order to control people supposedly for their own good. MORE
