Compiled by Michael Hernandez, CaliRed, Sept. 12, 2025

There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

President Trump GOES OFF On Democrats In Truth Social Rant In Response To Brutal Murder Of Ukrainian Refugee

President Trump on Monday responded to the horrific and senseless murder of a Ukrainian refugee by a career criminal. As The Gateway Pundit reported, 34–year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. murdered Iryna Zarutska last month by stabbing her multiple times on the Charlotte, North Carolina, light rail as bystanders did nothing.

Decarlos Brown Jr. criminal rap sheet, with arrests dating back to 2007. He was later arrested at least six more times on charges, including felony larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and communicating threats, according to the Daily Mail. Most of the charges were dropped. Other reports and social media posts suggest he may have been arrested and released at least 12 times.

President Trump blamed the far-left judges and radical, pro-crime Democrats for Zarutska’s murder.

Sinaloa Cartel Terror Network Exposed In Europe — Poland Seizes 3 Tons Of Drug Chemicals

Polish authorities, backed by anti-terror units, raided a clandestine meth lab near the German border last week, arresting three men—including two chemists allegedly tied to Mexico’s notorious Sinaloa Cartel. The bust underscores the cartel’s expanding global footprint and its designation by the U.S. government as a foreign terrorist organization. Agents seized 300 liters of methamphetamine and three tons of precursor chemicals in what officials called one of the most significant synthetic drug operations ever uncovered in the region.

Poll: Democrats Lurch Left, Embrace Socialism As Republicans Stand Firm With Capitalism

Rank-and-file Democrats are lurching further left and warming to socialism while increasingly dismissing capitalism as a pejorative ethos to be avoided, a poll released Tuesday details. The revelation comes after committed socialist Zohran Mamdani claimed the Democratic primary in the race for New York City mayor.

His triumph is leading some centrist Democrats to worry Mamdani is redefining the party’s national brand and leading it even further to the left and away from mainstream America. According to the Gallup poll, only 42 percent of Democrats view capitalism favorably while 66 percent have a positive view of socialism.

AP reports, “the results show a gradual but persistent shift in Democrats’ support for the two ideologies over the past 15 years, with socialism rising as capitalism falls. The shifts underscore deep divisions within the party about whether open support for socialism will hurt Democrats’ ability to reach moderates or galvanize greater support from people who are concerned about issues like the cost of living.” The poll, conducted in August among a sample of 1,094 U.S. adults, shows both younger and older Democrats have both warmed to socialism since 2010.

NATO Air Defences Shoot Down Russian Drones Over Poland For First Time

NATO airspace was violated by a “huge number of Russian drones” overnight, the Prime Minister of Poland said, as he triggered NATO’s Article Four while the alliance’s militaries directly shot down Russian UAVs for the first time.

“Last night the Polish airspace was violated by a huge number of Russian drones”, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in an address to the nation’s Parliament on Wednesday morning, telling the assembly: “This is not our war. This is not just a war for Ukrainians. This is a confrontation that Russia has declared on the entire world”.

Tusk said three or four of the 19 drones which entered NATO airspace “posed a threat” and were shot down. It is stated that the others came down by other causes, including running out of fuel, and the Polish military is now searching for remains, and has asked the public to remain vigilant and to report and find wreckage immediately.

Marine Corps Under Fire For Crisis of Command As Exemplary Officer Faces Separation Over Religious Objection To Vaccines

The case of a 12-year active-duty Marine Corps officer exposes a top-down leadership failure that echoes a legally condemned system and puts constitutional freedoms at risk. It has become increasingly evident that a crisis is unfolding in the Marine Corps over the enforcement of vaccine mandates, pitting an exemplary officer’s faith against a federal court-ruled, unlawful institutional process.

Davis Younts, a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer, serves as legal counsel for the officer involved, whose name is Schuyler Skipper. “The case of First Lieutenant Skipper highlights a broken system, with accountability resting at the highest levels of Marine Corps’ leadership,” he told The Gateway Pundit.

Documents reviewed by the author show that 1st Lt. Skipper has been an exemplary Marine. His Fitness Report (FITREP) praises his “exceptional leadership,” “proactive approach,” and status as an “invaluable asset” to his regiment. Despite his honorable record, his career is at risk due to administrative separation and a denied promotion to Captain, all stemming from his refusal to receive vaccinations for religious reasons.

“This act, and his subsequent charge for disobeying a ‘lawful’ order, was the sole reason his otherwise impeccable evaluation was stamped with a negative mark, called an Adverse Material Action,” Younts shared. “This demonstrates a systemic subversion of the personnel system, using an evaluation tool not to measure performance but to punish a service member for a religious belief.

RFK Jr. On Assassination Of Charlie Kirk: ‘Once Again, A Bullet Has Silenced The Most Eloquent Truth Teller Of An Era’

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hailed Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk as a “relentless and courageous crusader for free speech” after the 31-year-old was assassinated on Wednesday.

“Once again, a bullet has silenced the most eloquent truth teller of an era,” said Kennedy, whose father and uncle were also assassinated. Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy, was shot on June 5, 1968, after winning the Democrat primary in California and died the next day. Kennedy’s uncle, former President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated on November 22, 1963.

“My dear friend Charlie Kirk was our country’s relentless and courageous crusader for free speech. We pray for Erika and the children. Charlie is already in paradise with the angels. We ask his prayers for our country,” Kennedy continued.

Kirk, a conservative firebrand and committed follower of Jesus Christ, died after being shot at an event at Utah Valley University.

President Donald Trump confirmed reports that Kirk died after being shot and has ordered all U.S. flags to be flown at half-mast in honor of him. “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

AAG Dhillon Celebrates SC Supreme Court Reversing Ruling Barring Access To Voter Rolls

One of the obstacles to free and fair elections that RedState has covered over and over is some states’ mismanagement and/or indifference when it comes to the voter rolls. A state where this glaring problem has surfaced in recent months is South Carolina. As we previously wrote, these practices are on the road to extinction in the wake of President Trump’s election in November 2024 through the yeoman’s work of Assistant Attorney General, Civil Rights Division, Harmeet Dhillon and her colleagues in the Justice Department.

On Thursday, the South Carolina Supreme Court made a ruling that should hearten anyone who’s been demanding and working toward election reform. The ruling reverses a judge’s previous order that blocked the Trump administration from access to SC’s voter rolls. AAG Dhillon celebrated the news on her official X account in a post.

“NO ONE is going to interfere with @CivilRights @TheJusticeDept efforts to enforce the federal voting laws — we are ON IT! Thank you to South Carolina’s governor for stepping up to help!”
