There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

Retailer Closing 21 Stores, Loses $80 Million After Replacing Shark Survivor Model With Man Pretending To Be Woman
Kathmandu Holdings, known as KMD Brands, has reported an $82.9 million loss after a boycott in 2024 over a decision to use another so-called transgender surfer to promote the sport to women. The U.K.’s Daily Mail reported this is its biggest loss in a decade. Those losses include a $40.3 million writedown value for its Oboz hiking boot company. KMD owns both Kathmandu and Rip Curl. Of the 328 Kathmandu and Rip Curl stores, 21 are closing.
This is a New Zealand-based company, and the Daily Mail reported the boycott came as many Australians opted to boycott Rip Curl last year after it featured the so-called transgender Sasha Lowerson as part of an ad campaign and dropped Bethany Hamilton (who lost her arm in a shark attack) from their ad campaigns and who is a mother, wife, and outspoken Christian.

Soros Funded Violent Leftist Operation Networks Exposed
The Capital Research Center released a report in September 2025 claiming that George Soros’s Open Society Foundations has provided over $80 million since 2016 to organizations with ties to terrorism or extremist violence, categorizing them into groups that directly assist domestic terrorism, incite terrorism linked to foreign groups, and promote terrorism. According to the report, OSF funded the Movement for Black Lives with $18 million, an organization that co-authored a guide glorifying Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attacks and instructing activists in illegal actions like blockades and economic disruption. The report also details $2 million in OSF grants to the Sunrise Movement, which endorsed the Antifa-linked Stop Cop City campaign where activists face domestic terrorism charges for arson and violence against police.
Another finding highlights $2.35 million given to Al-Haq, designated as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). OSF provided $875,000 to Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), whose co-founders have celebrated Hamas attacks and been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and pro-terrorism groups. In response, the Open Society Foundations stated that they unequivocally condemn terrorism, do not fund it, and consider the allegations politically motivated attacks aimed at silencing civil society.

Oklahoma To Launch Turning Point USA Chapters In Every High School In The State Following Charlie Kirk’s Assassination
Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced this weekend that Oklahoma will launch Turning Point USA chapters in every high school in the state. Walters says, “Radical leftist teachers’ unions have dominated classrooms for far too long, and we are taking them back.” The popular Oklahoma State Superintendent made the announcement in a video he released this weekend.
Superintendent Ryan Walters: “We have seen the outpouring from parents, teachers, and students that want to be engaged in meaningful work going on at Turning Point. They want their young people to be engaged in a process that understands free speech, open engagement, dialog about American greatness, a dialog around American values.
“We’re so excited to partner with Turning Point USA with this initiative. For far too long, we have seen radical leftists with the teachers union dominate classrooms and push woke indoctrination on our kids. They fight parents rights, they push parents out of the classroom, and they lie to our kids about American history.
“What we’re going to continue to do is make sure that our kids understand American greatness, engage in civic dialog, and have that open discussion. We will continue to do all that we can to make sure Oklahoma students have the best education possible.”

Trump Releases 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan; Hamas Has Not Agreed Yet
- U.S. President Donald Trump released a 20-point peace plan for Gaza on Monday that fulfills all of Israel’s goals, while offering Palestinians a path to statehood, if Hamas frees the hostages, disarms, and leaves power.
Trump released the plan ahead of a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. However, it was not clear that Hamas would agree to the plan, especially disarmament.
(Editor’s note: Hamas has agreed to part of it. Trump has imposed a tight deadline)

Trump Gaza Plan Wins Support Of Arab, Muslim World, Palestinian Authority
President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the Gaza war has not only won support from Israel, but also from the Arab and Muslim world — and from the Palestinian Authority, which has opposed his plans in the past.
The 20-point plan, as Breitbart News has noted, would fulfill Israel’s goals of freeing the remaining hostages, as well as disarming Hamas and removing it from power. It also offers the prospect of a Palestinian state — if Hamas complies with the plan and the Palestinian Authority agrees to sweeping reforms of its policies and anti-Israel culture. If Hamas does not agree, the plan allows Israel to continue fighting the terror group.

Over 100,000 Federal Employees Expected To Quit Amid Government Shutdown
Over 100,000 federal employees are expected to resign imminently under the Trump administration’s sweeping “deferred resignation” program. Late last week, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) reportedly circulated internal guidance to agencies, warning them to prepare for waves of deferred resignations and reductions in force should Congress fail to approve full appropriations, according to the New York Post.
On January 28, 2025, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a memo to the entire federal civil service titled “Fork in the Road,” offering employees a deferred resignation option. The offer promised continued salary and benefits through September 30 if workers left voluntarily, but only if they signed away legal rights and accepted the exit by a looming deadline.
By mid-February, approximately 75,000 federal employees had signed the exit agreement. Now, as the Trump White House prepares for a new wave, more than 100,000 additional workers are expected to depart, making this breakaway the largest one-day drop in federal workforce history, according to The Guardian.

Pete Hegseth Rebukes DEI, Fat Troops
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced new standards Tuesday as part of an ongoing cultural shift at the Pentagon ending the “war on warriors” led by woke politicians and Pentagon leaders.
Hegseth, eight months into a historic tenure that has seen the Department of Defense rebranded and reoriented as the Department of War, made his announced Tuesday addressing top military leaders in Quantico, Virginia, ahead of remarks by President Donald Trump.
“From this moment forward, the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: warfighting, preparing for war, and preparing to win, unrelenting and uncompromising in that pursuit,” he told the rare assemblage of top military brass.
Hegseth’s speech emphasized many themes pressed throughout his time leading the Pentagon, such as eradicating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) requirements, mandating higher standards, and earning peace by preparing for war.

Mike Johnson Blasts Democrats’ Government Shutdown Hypocrisy With Their Own Words
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) put the Democrats on blast with their own words, showing their hypocrisy as they protested against previous government shutdowns while refusing to put a stop to the looming shutdown that will occur at midnight Tuesday if they do not compromise with Republicans.
Johnson has the following video playing on loop on a television outside his office in the U.S. Capitol, pointing out the blatant contradictions of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and more:
Almost exactly one year ago, Schumer apparently cared about how the government shutdown that he is currently hell-bent on forcing would impact average Americans.
“If the government shuts down, it will be average Americans who suffer most. A government shutdown means seniors who rely on Social Security could be thrown into chaos,” the minority leader said in a September 2024 speech criticizing “hard-right Republicans” and “MAGA radicals.”
Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA), and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) were also featured in Johnson’s video, complaining of how a shutdown would harm working-class Americans and public servants. “Families will be hurt. Farmers will be hurt,” Jeffries said in December 2024. “It’s the service members who will work without a paycheck. It’s the firefighters who will be furloughed,” Clark said in September 2023.

Schumer Shutdown Begins With No End In Sight
Forty-four Democrat Senators voted Tuesday to block a House-passed spending plan just hours before a long-anticipated funding deadline, sending the federal government careening toward a full shutdown for the first time since 2013. The full government shutdown began at 12:01 am EST.
Only three Democrats, Sens. John Fetterman (PA), Catherine Cortez Masto (NV), and Angus King (I-ME), voted with a majority of Republicans for the bill, which failed 55 to 45, short of the 60 votes required. Republican Sen. Rand Paul (KY) voted against the bill. The same House-passed bill failed in the Senate just eleven days prior.
The Democrat blockade defeats a clean continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government open for seven weeks to allow bipartisan negotiations, underway for months between top appropriators, to continue.
Those bipartisan negotiations to pass twelve appropriations bills with new funding levels would have been an opportunity for Democrats to use their leverage to extract concessions from Republicans. Those bipartisan negotiations are over, perhaps terminally.
The House passed a clean continuing resolution (CR) September 19 to continue current spending levels until November 21. Those spending levels were originally passed during Joe Biden’s presidency and were extended through the end of the current fiscal year, September 30, 2025, in a CR in March.

Supreme Court Allows Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to Keep Her Job
The US Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed embattled Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to remain in her chair for now. The high court will hear the case in January 2026 and allow Lisa Cook to keep her job in the meantime. This also means Lisa Cook will be able to participate in December’s interest rate meeting.
Lisa Cook filed a lawsuit against President Trump, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell after Trump fired her over the summer. The Trump Administration last month asked the US Supreme Court to intervene after a federal appeals court blocked Trump from firing Lisa Cook. Lisa Cook apparently owns three properties, and she allegedly committed mortgage fraud on all three properties.

Faith: The Most Openly Christian Administration In 200 Years
The Trump administration is arguably the most openly Christian and pro-religious administration since the era of the founding fathers. While past presidents such as Jimmy Carter openly spoke of their faith and Ronald Reagan called for prayer in schools, no modern administration has gone as far in defending and advancing religious liberty.
Trump has restored protections for Christians, especially Catholics who faced persecution under the Biden administration. He has also enacted policies that strengthen the Christian values on which the nation was founded. Furthermore, his administration includes an unprecedented number of openly practicing Christians at the highest levels of government, making faith a defining feature of national leadership.
Among the many steps taken to protect Christians, and specifically Catholics who were persecuted under President Biden. Trump has enacted sweeping measures to restore religious liberty. He created the first-ever White House Faith Office in the West Wing, appointed faith liaisons across federal agencies, and established a Religious Liberty Commission. His administration launched a Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias, issued executive orders to secure religious rights, pardoned Christians prosecuted under the prior administration, and rescinded regulations that conflicted with Supreme Court religious liberty precedents.
Beyond protecting Christians, Trump has advanced policies that reinforce the Christian values on which the nation was founded. He created the first national school choice program, safeguarded religious education, and ordered DEI ideology stripped from classrooms. He strengthened parental rights, reinstated school discipline policies, and banned taxpayer funding of abortion while expanding adoption tax credits.

Netflix Runs Into A Conservative Buzzsaw After It Pushes Child Transgenderism
Netflix, which is now facing a conservative boycott after it aired multiple shows overtly promoting transgenderism in children. One, which is entitled “Dead End: Paranormal Park,” has drawn the ire of Elon Musk, who is using his influence to promote a boycott of the massive streaming service.
Netflix, movie studios, and other production companies fund these projects as a means of “representation.” Netflix’s stock has already been driven down by the boycott.

Did The Assassination Of Charlie Kirk Kickstart A Religious Revolution?
The history of Christianity can also be accurately described as a “movement.” Starting with Jesus Christ, and later the Apostle Paul, the message of the resurrection spread throughout the known world.
Christian movements continued. Protestant Reformation — Martin Luther (1517). Sparked by the 95 Theses, the emphasis was on justification by faith. First Great Awakening — Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, John Wesley (1730s–40s). Preaching revival in England and America. Second Great Awakening — Charles Finney (early 1800s). Revivals, altar calls. You may notice that every great movement started with a person — sometimes a great, innovative thinker, sometimes persecuted, sometimes martyred. We may be witnessing the beginning of another “movement of God” in our world today.
With the assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, even the skeptic will admit “there’s something stirring faith in America and around the world.” Churches are full, young men and women are more engaged in Christianity and there is a palpable sense of movement toward God.

Sen. Joni Ernst: Taxpayers Paying $400 Million Per Day For Bureaucrats Not To Work Due To Democrat Shutdown
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) told Breitbart News Thursday that taxpayers are paying $400 million per day for non-essential federal bureaucrats not to work during the Democrat shutdown.
She added, “Speaking of doing nothing, Congress still gets paid for failing to do its job. As if that was not bad enough, our economy could lose billions of dollars, our servicemembers will see their paychecks delayed, and essential services for the American people will be unavailable. Democrats’ political stunt is harming hardworking folks and must end now.”
The Congressional Budget Office analysis found Servicemembers will likely see their pay for serving their country delayed. The last shutdown cost $3 billion in gross domestic product.

Interior Sec. Doug Burgum: Democrats Shut Down Government For ‘Purely Political Purposes’
Democrats shut down the government for “purely political purposes,” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily. Burgum began by explaining that President Donald Trump is standing up to the “crazy partisanship from the Democratic leadership” who opted to “shut down the government for purely political purposes.”
“As you know, and your listeners know… the house has already passed a bill saying we’re going to keep funding going exactly the way it is right now,” he said, pointing out that Republicans presented a clean bill to move ahead. “And this is the simplest thing in the world for them to just agree to that, and then everything goes forward,” he said, explaining that Democrats are “trying to use disruption of services for political purposes.”
“President Trump is saying no — no deal on that. But what we’re doing to try to minimize the impact of this Democratic shutdown on citizens is using every tool we have in our toolkit to do things like keeping all the national parks open,” Burgum said, adding that this is not an easy feat, as they are not allowed to use appropriated funding.
“So we’re grabbing money from recreational fees and entrance fees, using that to make sure that essential services are open. So the mall is open. The parks [are] open. We’re fighting to keep as much stuff open as we can. But, you know, this is a huge, a huge distraction,” Burgum said.

Apple Caves to Trump’s DOJ, Removes App Allowing Illegals to Track ICE Agents
Apple has reportedly removed a tracking tool designed to alert illegal aliens to the nearby presence of ICE agents from its app store, following a demand by officials at the Department of Justice. A link to the app, known as ICEBlock, is no longer functional. “We reached out to Apple today demanding they remove the ICEBlock app from their App Store — and Apple did so,” Bondi said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
The app, developed by Joshua Aaron, was a danger to ICE agents simply trying to enforce immigration laws, leaving them vulnerable to illegals or supporters of illegals with bad intentions.
“ICEBlock is designed to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs, and violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed,” Bondi’s statement continued. “This Department of Justice will continue making every effort to protect our brave federal law enforcement officers, who risk their lives every day to keep Americans safe.”
