There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: the Trump presidency, immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), taxpayer cuts, and Ukraine peace and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

Former Biden Aide Admits Staff Felt Justified Doing ‘Undemocratic Things’ To Stop ‘Existential Threat’ Donald Trump

A former aide to President Joe Biden said White House staff felt justified doing “undemocratic things” in order to stop the “existential threat” that was Donald Trump. Axios reporter Alex Thompson revealed on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream that White House insiders revealed to him they often viewed themselves as the decision makers in the Biden administration and were shielded from the president’s oversight.

“If you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe — that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things,” Thompson said.

Another aide also reportedly told Thompson that former President Biden “just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years.” “He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while,” Thompson said the aide told him. “His aides could pick up the slack.” “When you’re voting for president, you’re voting for the aides around him,” the aide said.

Ron DeSantis Slams Congressional Republicans For ‘Betrayal Of The Voters Who Elected Them’

“Republicans in name only” is as damning an insult as one GOP member can give another. And while Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stopped just short of calling some of his peers RINOs, the conservative firebrand didn’t pull his punches beyond that in a blistering X post.

DeSantis — no stranger to fighting against his own party when the need arises — took to social media Tuesday morning to call out a number of his colleagues for not being fiscally conservative enough (or at all) while the country grapples with an insane deficit. Specifically, DeSantis lamented the lack of support that Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk was getting from congressional lawmakers.

“[Musk] took massive incoming — including attacks on his companies as well as personal smears — to lead the effort on [DOGE],” DeSantis posted to X, before noting just how heavy that toll would become for the tech mogul.

Trump Admin Fast-Tracks Approval Of Utah Uranium Mine In Mere Weeks

A rapid 14-day environmental review has seen a new uranium mine approved in Utah. The endorsement is part of a refreshed Trump administration process to fast-track permissions for energy and mining projects. The Velvet-Wood uranium project received a green light on Friday. It is owned and operated by the Canadian company Anfield Energy.

The approval tick comes 11 days after the Interior Department ordered the Bureau of Land Management to review the mine’s environmental impacts within two weeks, as opposed to the prior timeline of months or years. The dynamic new approach has been expected since President Donald Trump declared a national energy emergency back in January and reversed previous mining restrictions embraced by his Democrat predecessor.

American Rights Alliance To Help Rescue Tina Peters And Other Political Prisoners

Few names evoke as much passion—and as much injustice—as Tina Peters. She is a Gold Star Mother, a cancer survivor, and a whistleblower whose only crime was fulfilling her oath. As the duly elected Clerk of Mesa County, Colorado, Tina uncovered what she believed were unlawful alterations and software deletions in her county’s election system. Her response wasn’t partisan—it was principled: preserve the records, protect the truth, and serve the people. But the system she served didn’t protect her. It came after her like an angry mob.

Arrested. Raided. Vilified. Silenced. Tina Peters has faced one of the most politically vindictive prosecutions in modern history—all for trying to ensure transparency in the very foundation of our Republic: our elections. At the center of this politically charged effort to crush Tina is Judge Matthew Barrett, who has presided over her case with open contempt. Alongside him are Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and Secretary of State Jena Griswold, whose politically motivated crusade against Tina has exposed what so many now believe to be systemic corruption, abuse of power, and ideological persecution.

But just as the walls seemed to close in, something extraordinary happened. Donald Trump Jr. stepped into the fight. Watching patriots like Tina across the country being targeted by their own government, Don Jr. made a bold and deeply personal decision: to fund the launch of the American Rights Alliance (ARA)—a national legal powerhouse committed to defending those abandoned and abused by the system.

The story of Tina Peters isn’t just about one woman. It’s about what happens when a government fears the truth. It’s about whether patriotism will be punished or protected. And it’s about whether the American people will rise up and say: Enough. Tina has already given everything. Her son, who died in defense of our nation. Her health, surviving cancer with resolve. Her husband, who died while fighting for her freedom with sham charges and pretrial confinement. Her reputation, targeted by the media and political hacks desperate to silence her. But through it all, she never wavered. And now, she is no longer standing alone.

Elon Musk Announces He Is Stepping Down From Trump Administration

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on X on Wednesday that his time as a “special government employee” has ended. Musk, the face of the Department of Government Efficiency, was hired as a special government employee (SGE) to advise the Trump administration on cutting costs and combating fraudulent spending in the U.S. government.

Musk in his post stated, “As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending.” The “DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

Rubio Spearheads Massive State Dept Reorganization Set To Eliminate, Merge More Than 300 Offices

New State Department reorganization plans will cut or consolidate more than 300 of the agency’s offices and bureaus as part of a massive overhaul seeking to streamline the department, according to agency officials. Secretary of State Marco Rubio first announced plans in April to restructure the agency because the department was “bloated, bureaucratic, and unable to perform its essential diplomatic mission.”

The State Department submitted a notice to Congress Thursday disclosing plans for the overhaul — the largest restructuring for the agency since the Cold War, senior State Department officials reported.

The State Department’s plans will slash or merge 311 existing domestic offices, ultimately eliminating up to roughly 3,400 State Department personnel, who make up between 15 and 20 percent of the agency’s domestic headcount, according to State Department officials.  The agency currently boasts roughly 700 offices, meaning the reorganization will cut or join more than 40 percent of the offices.

No! Student Visas Were Not Revoked For No Reason

Claims circulating on social media and in certain mainstream media outlets suggest that numerous student visas were revoked arbitrarily and without cause. However, a closer inspection of the facts shows that these revocations were justified. According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the number of student visas revoked is in the thousands, and the actions were part of a targeted policy aimed at addressing national security concerns.

The visa cancellations were tied to specific behaviors and affiliations, particularly those involving support for entities deemed hostile or dangerous by the U.S. government, such as transnational terrorist or criminal organizations.

This policy initiative, known informally as “Catch and Revoke,” was implemented by the Trump administration in early 2025. The Department of State employed artificial intelligence tools to scan public social media posts for indicators of support for terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Hezbollah, or for activities that undermine U.S. national interests.

SCOTUS Rules Trump Can End Biden’s Mass Migration Pipeline Pending Appeal

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled on Friday that President Donald Trump can move forward with ending former President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline for migrants while the case makes its way through an appellate court.

In March, the Trump administration revoked the legal status of more than 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who were allowed into the U.S. interior via a Biden-era parole pipeline known as the CHNV program. Following the announcement, two non-governmental organizations (NGOs) partially funded by Alex and George Soros’s Open Society Foundations sued the Trump administration to keep the parole pipeline intact.

Later, Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani sided with the Soros-funded NGOs and blocked Trump from ending Biden’s CHNV program. Talwani has past ties to Democrats, including volunteering for Obama’s presidential campaign.

SCOTUS, in a 7-2 decision with Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor dissenting, ruled that Trump can end the parole pipeline while the case is pending appeal:

DOJ: Government Employee Who Hates Trump Tried To Share Classified Information With Foreign Spies

The DOJ has announced that a government employee was arrested on Thursday for trying to share classified information with agents of a foreign government because he did not “agree or align with the values” of the Trump administration.

Nathan Vilas Laatsch, a 28-year-old IT specialist working for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) since 2019, was arrested this week in Virginia, the DOJ announced. Laatsch works for the DIA’s Insider Threat Division, where he holds a Top Secret security clearance. Court documents reveal Laatsch allegedly sent an email to a to an officer or agent of a foreign government, saying he did not “agree or align with the values” of the Trump administration and was therefore “willing to share classified information,” including “completed intelligence products, some unprocessed intelligence, and other assorted classified documentation,” the DOJ said.
