There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

The MAHA Priority Pursued By Lawmakers On Both Sides Of The Aisle

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) agenda has helped shape the second Trump administration, with early actions targeting mercury in vaccines, artificial food dyes, and ultra-processed foods. That’s thanks in large part to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who dropped out of the presidential race in August 2024 and joined forces with then-presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump.

Kennedy stressed one notable MAHA agenda item just two days before Election Day. On Nov. 3, 2024, he asked voters to support Trump “so we can ban pharmaceutical advertising”—such as the commercials for brand-name drugs that pepper many networks.

The United States consumes more prescription drugs than any country in the world and spends nearly twice as much for them as all other nations combined, according to a Rand report. For now, independent and Democratic senators are leading the legislative charge to eliminate direct-to-consumer drug ads, including on social media, with House Democrats following with a parallel bill.

In May, the MAHA Commission released a report on childhood chronic disease that raised concerns about pharmaceutical ad campaigns aimed at everyday Americans. It suggested they encourage “a notable level of reliance on the industry by those that benefit financially.” The report also highlighted medical publications that have linked those advertisements to the over-diagnosis of disease and the overuse of drugs, including by children.

Harmeet Dhillon Says Justice Department Will Monitor Local Investigation Of Vicious Attack On White People In Cincinnati Caught On Viral Video

Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, posted on Sunday she and her department will be monitoring the investigation into a vicious attack on a white man and white woman by a mob of Black people in Cincinnati Friday night after video of the beatings went viral.

Dhillon commented on a post by Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), “Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans. We @CivilRights will monitor closely how local authorities handle this attack. Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply.”

Eurocrats Lament ‘Juggernaut Trump’ Rolled Brussels in ‘Disaster’ Trade Deal

In the hours following the Sunday announcement of the landmark trade deal agreed to by the United States and the European Union, a stinging reality began to sink in across the Old Continent: Brussels blinked, and the EU leadership had been utterly routed by President Donald Trump and his White House.

Threats of counter tariffs and “trade bazookas” ultimately came to nought on Sunday as a noticeably dispirited EU chief Ursula von der Leyen sat beside President Trump at his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland to announce the agreement, which saw Europe commit to purchasing $750 billion in American energy, invest a further $600 billion in U.S. based businesses, and spend “hundreds of billions of dollars” on military equipment.

Although the bloc avoided the threatened 30 per cent tariffs floated by President Trump, in backing down, the EU will still face a baseline tariff of 15 per cent, including on automobiles, and a 50 per cent duty on steel and aluminum. While von der Leyen attempted to cast agreement as a “good deal”, it quickly became apparent that the EU had crumbled in the face of Trump’s hardline tactics and that the U.S. had come out on top of the negotiations which, to add insult to injury, had been concluded in Brexit Britain at Trump’s own Turnberry golf course.

Grassley Responds To Trump’s Request To Cancel August Recess To Get Judicial Nominees Confirmed As Democrats Obstruct

Chuck Grassley, the very powerful Senate Judiciary Chairman, responded to President Trump’s call to cancel the August recess. President Trump last Saturday evening called on Senate Majority Leader John Thune to cancel the August recess to get his judicial nominees confirmed.

On Sunday, Grassley said he is “with” Trump and is willing to work through the August recess to confirm the president’s judicial nominees since the Democrats are stonewalling. Grassley has pushed a few of Trump’s high-profile nominees through the Senate Judiciary Committee but there is still a backlog of 135 nominees.

Trump’s DHS Releases Ads Urging Illegal Aliens To Self-Deport

President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing ads that encourage illegal aliens living in the United States to self-deport, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. The nationwide ad campaign, featuring DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, touts the agency’s CBP Home mobile application, which illegal aliens can use to self-deport from the United States with a free flight back to their home country.

“If you’re an illegal alien living in the United States, this runway is your future because one way or another, you’re getting on a plane home but how you get there is up to you,” Noem says in the ad. “… you can make it easy like others who have made the right choice, by downloading the CBP Home app and safely self-deporting. They received financial assistance, up to $1,000, a free flight home, and they have the chance to come back to America, legally.” “Or, your trip home will be hard,” Noem continues:

DHS officials said that in six months tens of thousands of illegal aliens have used the CBP Home app to self-deport from the United States. The agency is also using financial pressures to get illegal aliens to self-deport, which is far less costly than government-led deportation flights.

EPA Moves To Eliminate The Basis For A Trillion Dollars Of Climate Change Regulations

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announced Tuesday that the EPA would propose rescinding the 2009 so-called “Endangerment” finding by the Obama administration. This finding underpins every “climate change” and most automobile regulations issued since 2009 and, if successful, would effectively eradicate “climate change” regulation as a federal policy consideration.

Using a visit to a truck dealership in Indianapolis with Governor Mike Braun as a backdrop, EPA Administrator Zeldin announced EPA’s anticipated attempt to unravel the fragile underpinning for such things as EPA’s electric vehicle mandate and the war on efficient air conditioners, water heaters, furnaces, and small gasoline tools like lawnmowers and leaf blowers.

Naturally, this was not greeted with cheers by everyone. This is not just an attack on science but on common sense,” said Zealan Hoover, a former senior adviser to the EPA administrator under President Joe Biden. “The National Climate Assessment provides over 2,000 pages of detailed evidence that climate change harms our health and welfare, but you can also ask the millions of Americans who have lost their homes and livelihoods to extreme fires, floods, and storms that are only getting worse.”

South Korea Agrees To Invest $350 Billion, Lead Massive Shipbuilding Project In Trump Trade Deal

President Donald Trump announced a “full and complete trade deal” with South Korea on Thursday evening — an agreement committing $350 billion in investment into the United States and significantly eroding Korean automaker advantages in the U.S. market.

South Korea agreed to a 15 percent tariff on its goods entering America, compared to the 25 percent rate that would have been implemented if the two countries did not come to an alternative agreement by August 1. Trump also agreed to meet South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, a leftist who came to power with minimal foreign policy experience in June, for a summit to detail the provisions in the trade agreement.

Declassified Durham Appendix Shows Hillary Clinton Personally Approved Trump-Russia Hoax And Used FBI To Put “More Oil On The Fire”

Senator Chuck Grassley on Thursday released the newly declassified annex from former special counsel John Durham’s report. “The Durham annex contains previously classified information exposing a reported Clinton campaign plan to falsely tie President Donald Trump to Russia,” Grassley said.

Recall that it was just reported that FBI Director Kash Patel recently found the annex to the Durham report in a “burn bag” at the FBI. According to the newly declassified documents, Hillary Clinton personally approved the Trump-Russia hoax just a few days before FBI counter-intelligence agent Peter Strzok opened Crossfire Hurricane on July 31, 2016 to distract from her private server scandal. Hillary used a bogus dossier and conspired with foreigners and the FBI to spy on Trump’s 2016 campaign and presidency.

‘Most Secure Border In History’ With New Record Low Arrests In July — Zero Admissions For 3 Months

Border Patrol leaders are touting the new record-low rate of migrant arrests along the southwest border as the “most secure border in history.” In July, Border Patrol agents arrested approximately 4,600 migrants who illegally crossed the southwest border between ports of entry. Border Patrol agents released zero migrants into the U.S. for the third consecutive month.

Officials within U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Breitbart Texas that agents arrested 4,600 illegal aliens along the southwest border in July. The unofficial report reviewed by Breitbart represents a 24 percent decrease compared to the 6,72 arrests in June and a 92 percent drop from July 2024.

San Diego Sector Border Patrol officials stated on X, “THIS IS WHAT A SECURE BORDER LOOKS LIKE!”

Cambodia To Nominate Trump For Nobel Peace Prize

The government of Cambodia confirmed on Friday that it is planning to nominate President Donald Trump for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions to ending the nation’s hostilities with Thailand.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol told reporters at a press conference on Friday — in which he expressed gratitude both for the mediation with Thailand and for Trump’s reduction of tariffs to 15 percent — that his country was planning to nominate Trump. Chanthol reportedly confirmed this plan in a text message to Reuters.
