State lawmakers are currently holding legislative delegation meetings in every county across Florida. These annual public meetings are an opportunity for you to speak directly to your state representatives before the 2026 session begins.
This year, your voice is essential. Senate Bill 180 is already silencing local planning efforts — halting efforts to manage flooding, protect rural land, and guide growth responsibly. It’s vague, it’s overreaching, and it’s being used by developers to intimidate local governments. These delegation meetings are your chance to be heard.

| What Can You Do? ☑️ Contact your state representatives – If you haven’t yet, please call and/or email your lawmakers to urge them to repeal the bad provisions of SB 180. ☑️ Speak to your local city and county commissioners and request that they formally oppose the damaging provisions of SB 180, and urge lawmakers to repeal them. ☑️ Sign up to speak at your local legislative delegation hearing – We’re holding “office hours” for those interested in collaborating ahead of your legislative delegation meeting.
