PROJECTS
The 2 phase of street paving will begin on April 24 . Work will largely occur in the downtown area and will involve the paving of the remainder of Front St, the west end of Alachua St, and Parking Lot A.
The demolition and the reconstruction of the Putt-Putt Building at Main Beach is scheduled to begin on April 28 . The new building will occupy the same location and foot print as the existing building.
The rehabilitation of North Beach Access is nearly complete. The shelter roofs are currently being replaced with parking lot improvements to follow. This project is scheduled to be complete by May 1st.
The golf course driving range rehabilitation is nearly complete. New netting is being installed and the grand re-opening is scheduled for May 10th.
The batting cages at Central Park are scheduled for demolition from April 21-23. Construction of a new batting cage facility will begin the following week.

FBPD is participating in DEA’s RX Takeback Day: bring unwanted or expired medications to 1525 Lime St on 4/26 from 10am-2pm for safe disposal.
The tennis courts at Central Park are scheduled to be closed for lighting upgrades on May 12th.

NEWS/PROMOTIONS
The City received funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to create a Flood Adaptation Plan. A Community Resilience Workshop has been scheduled for Monday, April 28, at 5:00pm at the Peck Center (516 S 10 Street). Workshop goals include informing residents of citywide efforts to mitigate flooding, obtain feedback on priority projects, provide guidance on stormwater management, and hear from YOU on local concerns.
