CALIRED NEWS–A three-hour United States Senate sub-committee hearing Wednesday (May 21) on examining science and federal health agencies led by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) took apart the government and media narrative that COVID-19 vaccines were “safe and effective” and instead stated that “the risks of COVID-19 vaccination far outweigh any theoretical benefits.”
Senator Johnson with newly subpoenaed records from both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) opened the hearing by stating the Biden administration knew about deadly heart risks tied to the COVID shots and deliberately kept it from the public despite warnings issued in February 2021 from Israeli health officials of “large reports of myocarditis (the inflammation of the heart muscle which can weaken the heart and make it harder to pump blood), particularly in young people” following Pfizer injections, just two-and-a-half months after the vaccine received emergency-use authorization.
Senator Johnson, elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010, reported at the hearing that while Pfizer and Moderna received insider updates, doctors and citizens who raised concerns were silenced.
One chart showing the Drug Adverse Event Comparison from FDA and CDC data worldwide reported within the first six months of COVID-19 shots: 4,812 deaths (1,736 deaths happened within 48 hours of taking the vaccines) along with 384,270 adverse events. As of yesterday’s hearing date, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data shows 38,607 reported deaths after the COVID-19 vaccines with 9,228 reported deaths within two days of taking vaccinations.
While regulators claimed that the vaccine stayed in the arm, a Yale study now shows some people are still producing spike protein more than 700 days after their last injection.
Testifying at the hearing were:
- Dr. Peter McCullough (a former cardiologist, vice chair of internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and a professor at Texas A&M University) who had his medical certifications revoked in October, 2022 for speaking against the COVID-19 vaccines after a recommendation by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. McCullough stated that he had seen just two myocarditis cases before the Covid vaccine and has now “examined thousands of patients with this problem. There’s 1,065 papers in the peer-reviewed literature on COVID vaccine myocarditis. Two teenage boys (16 and 17) from Connecticut died in their sleep just days after taking the Pfizer vaccine shot for covid. Their parents found them unresponsive, said Dr. McCullough. “These cases…should have gotten everyone’s attention. We should never have someone die after taking a vaccine.
“The vaccine cannot be falsely credited with saving millions of lives. We can’t allow false drug advertising to be put up on a poster behind one of our public servants. We cannot accept that.”
Dr. McCullough mentioned three papers by Nathaniel Mead, a former National Institutes of Health writer. Together, they contain nearly 1,000 references and they all reach the same conclusion: “The risks of COVID-19 vaccination far outweigh any theoretical benefits…I don’t want America to be fooled by this hearing today thinking that the vaccines saved lives–because they didn’t.”
- Dr. Jordan Vaughn, an Alabama-based physician, estimates up to 15 million Americans may be suffering from long COVID or COVID vaccine injuries. He now treats teenagrs who can’t stand up and previously healthy adults who are suffering strokes with no clear cause. According to Dr. Vaughn, the spike protein’s S1 subunit is far from harmless. “It triggers inflammation, it disrupts endothelial barriers, it induces fibrin resistant to breakdown, and it promotes a lot of amyloid aggregates.”
Dr. Vaughn warned that mRNA injections led to uncontrolled spike protein production which spread throughout the body, reaching the heart, brain, ovaries and testes. These effects impair oxygen delivery, damage blood vessels, and trigger a wave of symptoms–racing heart, brain fog, shortness of breath and post-exertional crashes.
In his clinic, Dr. Vaughn uses immunofluorescence microscopy to detect the spike protein’s damage, showing up in patients who were once thriving. “We didn’t just inject people. We turned them into spike protein factories.”
- Dr. James Thorp, OB-GYN with over 45 years of experience and 250 published papers, said the COVID shots “mirrored the effect of chemical abortion drugs and the government knew what it was doing.” Dr. Thorp mentioned the Shimabukuro study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, which claimed a 12.6 percent miscarriage rate following COVID vaccination. “When you isolate the data for women vaccinated in the first trimester, the miscarriage rate rises to 82 percent. This figure mirrors the effect of chemical abort drugs. Pregnant women were deliberately targeted and their unborn children paid the price. This must stop now.”
- Dr. Joel Wallskog, a vaccine-injured physician, reminded those at the hearing that he was injured because he got vaccinated. “We have been placated, we have been blown off. If I could describe one word that I think all, if not most, vaccine-injured (people) would say…it’s abandonment. The idea that federal agencies are trying to help is the farthest from the truth.”
- Attorney Aaron Siri: “For every product on the market you can sue the manufacturer for harm. There’s only one product in America you cannot sue the manufacturer to claim it could have been made safer and that’s vaccines.” Siri said this is due to the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act which gave pharmaceutical companies sweeping immunity. Today, there are “29 different vaccines recommended for the first year of life.”
Giving opposing viewpoints at the Wednesday hearing were:
- Francis Collins, 16th Director of the National Institutes of Health (2009-2021): “Senator, people die,” he told Senator Johnson.
- Senator Richard Blementhal (D-CT), defended public health officials. He claimed that health officials took “multiple steps” to warn the public and shifted his position from the beginning of the hearing when he said the COVID-19 vaccine was “safe and effective” to “we did our best with what we knew at the time.”
