Faith Christian Academy (FCA), a private Christian school in Fernandina Beach, has just named a new head of school.  She is Mrs. Wendy Lester.  Mrs. Lester has been the Principal of the FCA Upper School and was a teacher at FCA for many years prior to her appointment as headmaster.   She has over 20 years of combined service. She is a longtime member of Living Waters World Outreach Center, the parent church organization of FCA. Mrs. Lester is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.  She has been married for 26 years, and has two children. She has a lifelong dedication to Christ and to the power of Christian education.

         Mrs. Wendy Lester

Twenty-eight years ago, the Lord inspired Pastor Rob Goyette of Living Waters World Outreach Center to start Faith Christian Academy. Pastor Goyette saw the need for a Christian school for the young people of Nassau County. Since that time, FCA has grown to be the largest private Christian K-12 school in our county with 300 students.  Over 50 area churches send students to FCA.  It is fully accredited. The FCA Lower School is located in the rear of Living Waters church at the intersection of Route 200 and Brady Point Road, and the FCA Upper School is located behind New Life Church at the intersection of Route 200 and Blackrock Road. FCA owns a 26 acre tract of land on Old Nassauville Road, which will be the site of the future home of FCA.

Due to the Florida voucher “Step Up” program, any young person in the state can now get a scholarship to attend FCA, without regard to income. The FCA tuition is  $8,000 per year, and the state voucher pays approximately 90% of that fee. Florida has led the nation in freedom of choice for education, which is a major miracle for private Christian schools.

The young people of Nassau County, the leaders of tomorrow, need a solid, Biblically based, Christian education more than ever.  FCA stands ready to meet that need.  You may access more details on the FCA website, which can be found at www.FCAangels.com. You may also call (904)321-2137 if you are interested in registering your child for the upcoming school year.
