PUBLIC COMMENT FOR NON-AGENDA ITEMS. Comments can only be for items under the authority of the Board of County Commissioners. Time limit is three (3) minutes.
PUBLIC COMMENT – AGENDA ITEMS. Except for Quasi-Judicial items, any member of the public can address any item on the agenda now or wait until the matter is addressed. Time limit is three (3) minutes.
EXPANSION ITEMS DELETIONS TO AGENDA
RESOLUTION(S)
A. Approve a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners dedicating the Nassau County portion of State Road A1A as “Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway.”
PRESENTATIONS – Time limit is fifteen (15) minutes
B. Sherri Mitchell, Nassau County Economic Development Board re: Annual Report
CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICER BUSINESS
C. 1) Receive and file the Annual Financial Reports submitted by the Nassau County Constitutional Officers, 2) consider approving $248,662.79 of residual equity from the Sheriff being placed in a capital reserve fund for the purpose of constructing a public safety training center as outlined in Contract CM2233. If approved, budget to be amended with the FY23-24 cash forward public hearing held mid year.
CONSENT ITEMS – If any board member wishes to move a Consent Item to New Business, please do so now. Does any member of the public want to speak on a Consent Item?
D. Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the FY23/24 Funding Agreement with the Nassau County Economic Development Board, Contract No. CM3541 in the amount of $150,000.
E. Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No CM3563, with SAM Surveying and Mapping, LLC. for Continuing Contract for professional surveying and mapping services not to exceed $2,000,000 for a three-year term.
F. Approval for the final plat for Hamlet at Wildlight, filed by Hamlet at Wildlight, LLC, owner, Emily S. Miller, agent for owner, to construct 26 residential lots, ranging in size from approximately 2,100 square feet to 3,100 square feet on a portion of a 31 acre parcel previously platted within the East Nassau Community Planning Area (ENCPA).
G. Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract No. CM3501-WA01 with Pond & Company Corporation, for Goffinsville Boat Ramp Improvements in the amount of $319,289.95.
H. Approve the purchase of one (1) new Caterpillar 308 Hydraulic Excavator from Ring Power Corporation in the amount of $156,190 utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract FSA23-EQU21.0 and authorize the County Manager to sign the associated Requisition.
I. Approve the purchase of a MowerMax Boom Gen 3 Mower from ATMAX Equipment Co., utilizing the Florida Sheriff’s Association Bid, in the amount of $265,750, and authorize the County Manager to sign the Requisition.
NEW BUSINESS – Any member of the public may address any item under New Business at this time. Time limit is three (3) minutes each. Is there anyone who wishes to address any item under New Business?
J. Consider Resolution Accepting General Warranty Deed for Fire/EMS Station
K. Approve and authorize Chairman to sign the Contract No. 3584 with Otis and Marie Mason for SHIP Rehabilitation Project, accepting qualifying bids and authorizing the County Manager to execute any and all necessary contracts, contract addendums and/or documents upon review and approval by the County Attorney.
L. Set Joint Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners and Nassau County School Board for January 23, 2024 at 6:00 PM to be held at the James S. Page Governmental Complex.
M. Set Public Hearing for consideration of Conditional Use and Variance Appeal (Tyler West Plaza (CU2023-017) filed by Miller Tyler West, LLC,(owner) and  Sodl & Ingram PLLC, (Agent)
LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC HEARINGS – The following matters under consideration are legislative matters, and the Non-Quasi-Judicial Procedures will be utilized for the following: County Attorney to read the procedures.
N. Consider and Approve Ordinance Amending Section 5-5, Amelia Island Beach Renourishment Municipal Service Taxing Unit
COUNTY MANAGER’S BUSINESS – Any business to come before the Board.
COUNTY ATTORNEY’S BUSINESS – Any business to come before the Board.
COUNTY COMMISSION ITEMS – Any business to come before the Board.
