The 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting is scheduled in a little over two weeks. The event will include entertainment, food, and festive activities such as live music by the Nassau Community Band, games, vendors, and food trucks. Attendees will also have the chance to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will feature various activities. These include trackless train rides, family photos in an inflatable snow globe, Christmas-themed games for kids, face painting, arts and crafts vendors, and food trucks. The Nassau Community Band will perform at 5:30 p.m.
After the band’s performance, the Royal Amelia Dance Academy will perform at 6:20 p.m. Santa will arrive at 6:35 p.m., followed by the tree lighting at 6:45 p.m.
Once the tree is lit, attendees can take pictures with Santa from 6:50 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will end at 8:00 p.m.
