The 2024 Brier is here, and soon, one curling rink is heading home with the title of Canadian men’s champions.

The annual competition, now commercially named Montana’s Brier, kicks off this weekend, as 18 of the top curling squads are gathered in Saskatchewan to compete for Canadian curling’s most prestigious title. Not only is there a large cash prize at the top of the podium, but there is also a ticket to the World Men’s Curling Championship.
Brad Gushue and his rink enter the 2024 Brier as back-to-back defending champions. The St. John’s-based crew defeated Matt Dunstone and Team Manitoba at the 2023 competition.
Gushue’s win last year, along with lead Geoff Walker, second E.J. Harnden, and third Mark Nichols, broke the record for most Briers won by a skip, surpassing the likes of Ernie Richardson, Kevin Martin, Randy Ferbey, and Kevin Koe.
Will Gushue build on his legacy in Canadian curling, or will another skip like Dunstone, Koe or, Brendan Bottcher take the 2024 Brier?
