Fernandina City Commission Candidate Golf Forum Wednesday 5:30 PM

The Golf Advisory Board is sponsoring a Fernandina Beach City Commission candidate forum on Wednesday, October 26 at 6 PM, at City Hall.

Forum questions:

Question 1: Please give your views on retaining the Fernandina Beach Golf Club as a 27 hole golf course or diverting some of the property for other recreational purposes/ activities.
Question 2: What do you think is the optimal means for management of the Golf Course: Directly by the City; Third Party; Parks and Recreation or something else?
Question 3: Although the FBGC is presently constituted as an Enterprise Fund, do you favor City budgetary support for major items such as golf cart purchases or periodic course and golf club refurbishment as needed?
Question 4: Can all capital expenditure needs of the City be funded through the current tax revenue? If not, how would you propose they be funded? Can you identify any capital projects that are currently unfunded or underfunded
