4. DISCUSSION
4.1 DOWNTOWN PARKING – CURRENT STATUS – This item is placed on the agenda at the request
of Commissioner Ross who will discuss existing parking management and demand.
4.2 NEW DOWNTOWN PARKING LOT – 115 SOUTH 2ND STREET – This item is placed on the
agenda by Commissioner Ross who will discuss City acquisition of 115 South 2nd Street for the purpose
of creating additional downtown parking.
4.3 NEW DOWNTOWN PARKING GARAGE – LIBRARY PARKING LOT – This item is placed on
the agenda by Commissioner Ross who will discuss constructing a parking garage in the existing library
parking lot.
4.4 DOWNTOWN PARKING – NORTH 7TH STREET – This item is placed on the agenda by
Commissioner Ross who will discuss adding additional parking spaces on North 7th Street between
Centre Street and Alachua Street as approved by Resolution 2023-49.
4.5 SPECIAL EVENT PARKING – This item is placed on the agenda at the request of Commissioner
Ross who will discuss amending the Special Event permit process to include parking plans for major
special events.
4.6 PARKING LOTS C AND D – BUS AND BOAT TRAILER PARKING – This item is placed on the
agenda at the request of Commissioner Ross.
