Amelia Island Museum of History Presents Phil Eschbach

September 3 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Don’t Miss This Wednesday’s Brown Bag Lunch!

Meet Our Speaker

Phil Eschbach

Phil Eschbach, a ninth-generation Floridian and longtime Winter Park resident, is a retired commercial photographer who specialized in architecture and travel, publishing books on Egypt and Jordan and exhibiting widely in Central Florida. In retirement, he writes and lectures on Florida history, with a focus on his Loyalist Williams ancestors and their role in the state’s development. His photography for Spires in the Sun (2023), documenting Florida’s last Carpenter Gothic Episcopal churches, earned the Florida Historical Society’s Tebeau Award.
Join Phil on Wednesday, September 3 at noon for a free Brown Bag Lunch at the Amelia Island Museum of History, as he shares the remarkable story of George R. Fairbanks — founder of the Florida Historical Society and a key figure in shaping Florida’s history.
