Comedy/Farce. On the evening of his 10th wedding anniversary, the Deputy Mayor of New York and his wife have planned a party to celebrate. As the first couples arrive, they find the Deputy Mayor bleeding in his bedroom, no servants or maids are present, and the hostess is nowhere to be found. The couples scramble to “get the story straight” before the other guests arrive. As they do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from party guests, police and the media, confusion and misunderstanding spin into comic hilarity.
