Hello everyone. I am Jeff Gray, your District 3 Nassau County
Commissioner who is married to his high school sweetheart Diana Gray for
31 years. We are blessed with two adult children and a new grandchild. I am
a Christian by faith, and am a member of The Bridge Family Worship Center
church. Diana and I have prayed, and sought God’s plan, to serve the
citizens of Nassau County for one more term.
I have spent most of my life giving back and building community. I was a
Yulee Little League coach and umpire at Yulee Regional Sports Complex for
many years. God has put the love of building community in my heart. I love
volunteering with our Council On Aging, The Community Stewards of Yulee,
Spring Hill Baptist Church, Callahan Baptist Church, and The Journey
Church.
Nassau County is a blessed county in which to live, work and play. I am very
proud of my voting record and the great accomplishments serving you as
your Commissioner. I am extremely proud of my promise kept of lowering
your property taxes.
When I took office in 2020 the County Ad Valorem Tax Milage Rate had
been raised twelve (12) consecutive years in a row and was 6.8376. I have
provided a reduced Ad Valorem County Tax Millage rate for three (3)
consecutive years in a row.
In 2021 the tax rate was lowered to 6.7336
In 2022 the tax rate was lowered to 6.5316
In 2023 the tax rate was lowered again to 6.3356
I am currently working now (2024) to reduce your taxes again, for the fourth
consecutive year of my term.
As your Commissioner, I implemented our first ever Pavement Management
Plan Program to address our mobility infrastructure needs and pave our
roadways with fact based high technology software…this will save millions
of taxpayer dollars without deferring needed road repairs and future
maintenance expense costs.
As your Commissioner, I will not defund the police. Estimates are that there
are 12 million illegals in our country, from illegals crossing the border. As
your Commissioner, I will provide our Sheriff with the necessary funding to
protect our citizens, and keep our families safe.
As your Commissioner, I am proud that I have funded four (4) brand new fire
rescue stations opened or under construction to serve our citizens. We
opened station 71 in Yulee, and currently under construction is station 70 in
Nassauville, Station 90 in Hilliard, and Station 10 in Callahan.
As your Commissioner, I am proud to have implemented the voter approved
$30 million CLAM referendum, Nassau County’s Conservation Land
Acquisition Program. This program allows the county to invest back into our
communities with protecting our natural resources, clean water
conservation, and creating green open space with passive recreation, for
our families to enjoy. I also adopted the County’s new Parks Recreation
Open Space Master Plan, to create three new recreational parks for our
citizens to enjoy. Our open new park is Nassau Crossing Park on William
Burgess Road, Blackrock Cove Park and Westside Regional Park are
currently funded and in the construction phase.
As your Commissioner, my leadership has created a business friendly
“economic ecosystem” for Nassau County where business and industry can
make investments that benefit all citizens. Conservative values, protection of
private property rights, the creation of good, well paying jobs is essential to
Nassau County, the State of Florida, and our Country…if we don’t remain a
global superpower, our children or grandchildren could be slaves to socialist
countries such as Russia and China.
My professional business experience includes 34 years of service at the
49th largest global manufacturing corporation in the world, vehicle
manufacturer Mack Trucks Inc./ A.B. Volvo Corporation which manufactures
and sells transport solutions (Class 8 Heavy Duty Trucks) around the world.
Volunteering for you in government, I served on the Nassau County Code
Enforcement Board, and the Nassau County Planning and Zoning Board (as
Chairman) for the citizens of our Nassau County.
As your Commissioner, I currently serve as your Precinct #31
Committeeman on the Nassau County Republican Executive Committee.
My conservative leadership, business, and civic service experience, along
with my promise kept of reducing taxes for Nassau County taxpayers, make
me exceptionally qualified to serve you again.
