Press Release
By Congressman Aaron Bean
07-05-24
Today, we gather to herald the most supreme day in the history of America: July 4th, 1776. On this day, every American patriot’s heart should burst with pride as we celebrate the many freedoms that make us the greatest nation in the world.

The future remains unwritten, and it is ours to write. On this Independence Day, let us renew our commitment to America the Beautiful and her people. Let us vow that we will preserve our nation’s standing as a beacon of liberty for this generation and the ones to come. And let us live up to and safeguard the democratic ideals masterfully penned in the Declaration of Independence.
Today, Abby and I wish you a happy and blessed Fourth of July and proudly join you in celebrating our great Nation.
BEAN RECOGNIZED AS PRO-FAMILY, PRO-LIFE LEADER

I was humbled to receive the One Hundred Percent Award from Family Research Council Action (FRC Action) based on my pro-faith, pro-family, and pro-freedom legislative record . As a Christian, husband and father, I firmly believe that family is central to our American life.
While the current administration tries to radically crack-down on religious freedom and erode family values, I’m proud to stand with FRC Action in fighting back. Read more HERE .
PROTECTING AMERICANS’ SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHT
After Surgeon General Vivek Murthy declared gun violence a public health crisis, I had obvious concerns that the Biden administration would be using this announcement to justify executive action on gun control.
In response, I joined Representative Michael Cloud’s bill, H.R. 5561, the Protecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms Act, which would prevent President Biden and the Department of Health and Human Services from using public health emergencies to implement unconstitutional gun control. The Biden administration is wrong to target law-abiding gun owners and I will not stand for it. Read more HERE .
AMIDST EMERGENCY SERVICES SHORTAGE, BEAN CALLS FOR WITHDRAWAL OF OSHA ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL RULE
The federal government shouldn’t be making it harder to recruit and retain people to work in Fire and EMS Departments, especially during a labor shortage. And yet, that’s exactly what President Biden’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) proposed rule will do.
That’s why I joined Chairwoman Virginia Foxx in sending a letter to Department of Labor Acting Secretary Julie Su calling for her to withdraw this infeasible and overly burdensome rule. Learn more HERE .
CONFRONTING CCP HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a long history of heinous human rights violations. Despite this, the Biden Administration recently removed President Trump’s sanctions on the CCP in turn rewarding them for their genocidal crimes.
I cosponsored Representative Andy Ogles’ Confronting CCP Human Rights Abuser Act, to reinstate President Trump’s trade sanctions on China and confront the CCP’s horrendous slaughter of Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities. The United States must be unmistakable in our condemnation of China’s human rights abuses. Read more HERE
BEAN SPEAKS ON ONE AMERICA NEWS NETWORK

Recently, I joined Tipping Point with Kara McKinney on OAN to discuss my bold legislation to rein in Washington’s reckless spending—the Cutting Unobligated Tumultuous Spending Act . The CUTS Act will do just what it says, cut wasteful Green New Deal initiatives and claw back unspent Covid funds.
CASEWORK CORNER
So far in 2024, our district staff have returned over $1.1 MILLION to Northeast Floridians through casework and resolved 665 cases.
Serving you is what we do, and taking care of constituents in Northeast Florida is my top priority. Even more, I’m fighting to rein in Washington’s reckless spending and working hard to return money back to taxpayers.
