The One Big Beautiful Tour continued this week as I joined local Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce business leaders at Manifest Distilling for a tax roundtable. We focused on how the One Big Beautiful Bill is fueling economic growth across Northeast Florida, and business owners shared how the OBBB is making a real difference, removing barriers that once held them back. Most importantly, it’s giving them the certainty they need to plan ahead, invest in their teams and our area, and grow with confidence. Jacksonville is seeing results: more substantial paychecks, new job opportunities, and a renewed sense of momentum. When small businesses thrive, our communities thrive—and I’m proud to help make that happen. SPOTLIGHT ON INNOVATIONS: DTW RESEARCH, INC. ![]() I had the opportunity to visit dtw Research, Inc., a homegrown leader in visual marketing, intelligence, and surveillance, located right here in Northeast Florida. Since 1983, dtw Research, Inc. has been helping brands and governments make smarter, faster decisions in a rapidly changing world.During our visit, we discussed how the One Big Beautiful Bill is already making an impact—cutting taxes, streamlining regulations, and giving businesses like dtw Research, Inc. the confidence to hire and expand. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I’m focused on restoring economic optimism and ensuring our local companies have the tools they need to succeed. HELPING PAWS IN MIDDLEBURG ![]() I had the privilege of volunteering at the SAFE Animal Shelter in Middleburg—Clay County’s oldest no-kill shelter and a true gem in our community. SAFE is home to dozens of fur babies waiting for their forever families, and I was lucky enough to take a walk with Whiskey, a sweet 5-year-old with a heart as big as his paws. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, charitable contributions will now be tax-deductible for taxpayers who do not itemize their deductions. Nonprofits like SAFE will benefit from this provision—it’s the support they deserve. As your Congressman, I will always champion policies in Washington that lift up our local heroes, both two-legged and four. AMERICAN MANUFACTURING MOMENTUM IN GREEN COVE SPRINGS ![]() I visited Roller Die + Forming in Green Cove Springs and saw firsthand how the One Big Beautiful Bill is delivering results—cutting taxes and fueling local manufacturing. With a team of hardworking professionals, this facility plays a vital role in producing high-quality metal components that support a wide range of industries. Northeast Florida is on the move, and I’m proud to stand with the folks who are building our future—right here at home. INVESTING IN HEALTH AT BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER CLAY ![]() I stopped by Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island to see how this community healthcare provider is continuing to grow—making critical investments that strengthen care and improve health outcomes for families across Northeast Florida. Baptist Medical Center Clay and its healthcare heroes are expanding access and delivering high-quality care to build a stronger future for our community. REELING IN RESULTS: HOW OBBB SUPPORTS OUR FISHERIES ![]() I visited Beaver Street Fisheries in Jacksonville, one of the key pillars of our seafood industry since 1950. We discussed the importance of consuming more seafood—not just for our health, but also for supporting Florida jobs. In an industry shaped by global competition and complex logistics, the One Big Beautiful Bill is helping businesses like Beaver Street stay resilient. It supports innovation, strengthens domestic sourcing, and ensures companies have the tools to meet growing demand. Jacksonville’s seafood economy is thriving—and I’m working to ensure it stays that way. TOURING TAPESTRY’S POWERHOUSE FACILITY ![]() I had the chance to visit the Tapestry Distribution Center in Jacksonville—a state-of-the-art hub that keeps some of America’s most iconic brands moving. With over a million square feet of space and cutting-edge logistics systems, this facility is a testament to the power of American manufacturing and distribution. Tapestry’s operations rely on precision, speed, and a skilled workforce. That’s why the One Big Beautiful Bill is so important. It’s helping facilities like this one modernize, invest in new technologies, and stay competitive in a global market. From warehouse automation to workforce development, the bill is fueling growth where it matters most. REMEMBERING OUR AMERICAN PATRIOTS Tuesday, August 26th, marked four years since the tragic attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan, where 13 brave American service members gave their lives. Their sacrifice stands as a powerful reminder of the risks our men and women in uniform face in defense of our nation’s values.I will never forget their courage and commitment. That’s why, here in Washington, I remain dedicated to uncovering the truth about what happened and ensuring their legacy is honored with the respect and accountability they deserve. CASEWORK CORNER A constituent from Duval County recently reached out to my office after facing challenges correcting his record with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services—an issue that was affecting his coverage.
