Press Release

By Congressman Aaron Bean

8/25/25

It’s official! This week, I kicked off the One Big Beautiful Tour to share the benefits of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) directly to the folks it benefits: you! This isn’t just a road trip—it’s a chance to connect, listen, and show how this landmark legislation is already making a real impact for families, businesses, and communities across Northeast Florida.Image
Our first stop? Fidelity Investments in Jacksonville, where we had some incredible conversations about what the OBBB means for the financial world. This legislation brings what investors crave most: clarity and opportunity. It’s all about creating a more predictable, growth-friendly environment that helps you plan for your children’s education, a big purchase, and a worry-free retirement.

This tour is just getting started, and there’s a lot more ahead. Follow along on social media using #BeanOnTour to see where we’re headed next.

CONNECTING WITH THE RESTAURANT AND LODGING COMMUNITYImage
I recently sat down with members of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association for a productive roundtable on the pressing challenges facing the hospitality industry. From rising labor and supply costs to limited access to SBA loans, it was invaluable to hear directly from restaurant and hotel owners about the obstacles they’re navigating.

We also discussed key provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill—such as eliminating taxes on tips and enabling deductions for capital improvements—practical measures designed to foster growth and long-term stability across the sector. In Washington, I remain committed to advancing policies that safeguard freedom, increase flexibility, and provide the financial tools our hospitality businesses need to succeed.

ON THE GROUND WITH BOUND TREE MEDICALImageDuring a recent visit to the Bound Tree Medical distribution center, I spoke with industry leaders about the evolving landscape of emergency medical services. We covered everything from the ripple effects of tariffs on supply chains to the daily challenges EMS teams face in the field. The good news is that the newly enacted OBBB is already making a difference—streamlining procurement, addressing staffing shortages, and aligning policy with the urgent realities of frontline care. Bound Tree Medical is laying the foundation for a stronger, more resilient emergency medical system—one that delivers when it matters most.

FLORIDA HAS THE BEST SUNRISESImage
On Friday, I had the privilege of joining the Rotary Club of Amelia Island Sunrise—a remarkable group of local leaders driven by service. Whether mentoring young people or supporting families in need, their work embodies the core values of the American Dream: opportunity, community, and a shared commitment to building a brighter future.

As I continue working to protect that dream for all Americans, it was encouraging to see how their efforts are strengthening Nassau County from the ground up. Their example reminds us that lasting change starts locally—with people who care deeply and act with purpose.

TAX RELIEF WHEN DISASTER STRIKESImage
In Northeast Florida, we know all too well the disruption and stress that natural disasters bring. That’s why I’m proud to announce that H.R. 517, the Filing Relief for Natural Disasters Act, has officially been signed into law.

As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I was honored to help move this commonsense legislation forward. This bill eases the burden on Americans recovering from natural disasters by allowing the Treasury Department to postpone tax filing deadlines for those living in state-declared disaster areas—even before a federal designation is declared. It’s a practical step that brings immediate relief when people need it most. Learn more HERE .
