Press Release
By Senator Aaron Bean

On Wednesday, as Chairman of the Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee, I held a hearing to tackle one of the most shocking and disheartening fallouts of October 7: the rise of antisemitism in K-12 schools.
We invited leaders from major public-school districts beset by the worst incidents of antisemitism: New York City, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Berkeley Unified School District in California.
Talk is cheap, and the moment demands that school leaders discipline the teachers and students who are perpetrating antisemitic harassment and violence. I called for action and results, not just lip service.

BEAN DEMANDS DATA ON NUMBER OF ILLEGAL ALIENS IN THE U.S. I joined Representative Chip Roy to demand the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas release a report on the total number of illegal aliens currently residing in the United States. The American people deserve to know the number of illegal aliens living here, especially since the Biden administration’s policies have caused a surge of illegal crossings along the southern border. WITH PRESIDENT’S SIGNATURE, BEAN BILL BECOMES LAW On Wednesday, my bill to rename the Melrose, Florida post office after local letter carrier Pamela “Pam” Jane Rock, who tragically died after sustaining injuries while delivering mail in northeast Florida, was signed into law. Designating the Melrose Post Office in her name will honor her legacy in the community she loved. I am very proud to see our bill signed into law officially memorializing Pam’s memory and commitment to Floridians. Learn more HERE . PASSED: EQUAL REPRESENTATION ACT The far-left is trying to grow their political power by including the millions of illegal immigrants who have wrongfully crossed our borders in the U.S. Census. Only counting citizens in the census is just common sense. That’s why on Wednesday, I was proud to vote in favor of the Equal Representation Act to ensure that only American citizens are represented in Congress and the Electoral College. Learn more HERE. BEAN CONFRONTS BIDEN ADMIN SECRETARY ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN SCHOOLS Furthermore, I pressed Secretary Cardona about the Biden Administration’s advancement of its illegal student loan bailout. I informed him that the power of the purse lies with Congress and the administration has no authority to forgive student loans. Watch this line of questioning HERE . INVESTIGATING VISA FRAUD SHELTERING FOREIGN PERPETRATORS OF RECENT ILLEGAL ACTIVITY ON CAMPUSES Since the October 7th attack on Israel, direct calls for violence against Jewish students have gone with little consequences. Student visa holders involved in these vile antisemitic riots across college campuses must be deported. That’s why, I joined Representative Beth Van Duyne in demanding U.S. Customs and Border Protection investigate these colleges and universities for possible visa fraud due to their lack of cooperation with law enforcement and failure to enforce codes of conduct. It’s simple: if you are not a U.S. citizen and you commit crimes in this nation, your visa should be revoked. Read more HERE . STANDING WITH JEWISH STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS ![]() The Education and Workforce Committee will not stop until antisemitism is rooted out of our K-12 schools. That’s a promise. CASEWORK CORNERA veteran in our district was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of prostate cancer. He was told it would be August before he could get in for a PET scan, but he didn’t know if he would even live to August. After we intervened, he got a PET scan scheduled for April 8 and got a hematology/oncology consult later that same month.
