PROJECTS/OPERATIONS:
A City Commission Workshop will be held on October 7, 2025, to present an update on the
proposed Paid Parking program contract negotiations.


The North 2 St streetscape redevelopment continues on schedule. The rebuild of the
road and the installation of new sidewalks/curbing are currently underway.

City staff will be on the beach with heavy equipment the 2 week of September to cut
down the escarpment cliffs in various places.

The Grocery Getter shuttle makes twice a week trips to Winn-Dixie off island. The times
and pickup locations are provided on www.fbfl.us


As summer season winds down, Ocean Rescue has begun reducing life guard coverage
at the beach. Remember to look for beach flags at the beach parks. Beach flag colors
represent ocean hazard conditions

A City Commission budget hearing was held on September 3. The next one is scheduled for September 16, at 5:05pm in the Chambers of City Hall (204 Ash Street).

Spark (a 9-hole, social league) starts again next week at the City golf course. It begins at 5pm each Tuesday. East 9 Bar and Grill stays open late for the event. Sign up at spark.golf

The tenant of Atlantic Seafood Bait and Tackle located at 10 Ash Street has requested to end the lease with the City three years early

Parks and Rec will have a floating pumpkin patch at their Fall Festival on 9/20 from 12-4pm at the Atlantic Rec Center. Wear a suit and bring a towel if you want to participate in this activity!

NEWS/PROMOTIONS:


The City, Keep Nassau Beautiful and Amelia Music
Studio are hosting a free, live music event at Egans
Creek Park (2201 Atlantic Avenue) on Saturday,
September 27, from 3-6:00pm. The goal is to raise
awareness on the importance of conservation. A
representative from St Mary’s Riverkeeper will be
discussing the salt marsh and all the services it
provides our community. Donations will be
accepted to support the performing musicians.
