PROJECTS/OPERATIONS:

Street resurfacing is in progress. This project involves resurfacing 1.5 miles of roads
throughout the City. A bulk of the work will take place in Ocean Cay and Seaside
subdivisions.

A fund raising campaign is underway for the restoration of the historic Peg-Leg Pete
statue. Check out www.fbfl.us/pegleg for more information.

The North 2 St streetscape project is nearly complete. Sidewalks and curbing have
been installed and paving will occur in conjunction with the street resurfacing project.
The street is scheduled to be open prior to Thanksgiving.

Financing was approved at the 11/4 Commission Meeting for the demolition and
redevelopment of the area commonly known as Brett’s. The demolition is currently in
the design/engineering phase and permits have been submitted to the Army Corps of
Engineers. Demolition is scheduled for June of 2026.

Progress has resumed at the Waterfront Park. Current efforts are focused on the
completion of the pavilion. The purchase of landscaping and site furnishings are also in
progress. The park is scheduled to open March of 2026.

Crews began redecking beach access #34 this week. It is tentatively
scheduled to be closed through November.
