Press Release

By Judge Steven Fahlgren, Nassau County

01-05-24

Circuit Judge Steven M. Fahlgren has assumed the role of Administrative Judge in Nassau County overseeing the Felony and Family Law Divisions effective January 2nd. He returned to Nassau County after a two-year assignment in Duval County handling domestic violence hearings. Appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in 2015, Judge Fahlgren, a University of Florida College of Law graduate with honors, expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure in Duval County and looks forward to continuing his service in Nassau County, contributing to the fair and just administration of the law.  Judge Fahlgren is the only Circuit Judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit who lives in Nassau County. He advised that “it is great to breathe the fresh air of Nassau County again during home and work hours.” He will hold court at the Robert M. Foster Justice Center in Yulee and the Historic Courthouse in downtown Fernandina Beach.
