Joe Biden publicly claimed that world leaders are calling, asking him to get “engaged.” The addled geezer believes he’s still super important and necessary on the world stage.
If Biden hadn’t actually said it, people would think it was a parody mocking the last administration.
If nothing else he’ll gain sympathy from folks who feel he may be suffering from the brunt of practical jokes by members off his former staff or wife, Jill, and son, Hunter, who are placing prank calls or attempting to stoke his self-esteem.
He’s becoming the stereotypical image of the cartoon of the goofy guy in the nursing home with his right hand stuck in his terrycloth robe and a tissue box on his head claiming he’s Napoleon.
Biden was invited by the HR trade group Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Wednesday, June 2, to its gathering in San Diego. He spoke for more than an hour. And they paid him.
This crowd is in desperate need of a veteran event planner as its obvious the experience the one they currently employ doesn’t extend beyond organizing elementary kids’ backyard birthday parties. Did they pick up Biden in the guest speakers “clearance bin” at Walmart?
Who are these “world leaders” he says are asking him to “get engaged”? If there are one or two, an educated guess is that they include Bashar al-Assad, formerly of Syria, who’s calling from Moscow, these days, and maybe the battered and bruised remnants of Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah longing for the “good ‘ole days.”
In response to their pleas to get “involved” Biden said he told them: “I’m not, but I’m giving advice.”
No wonder Human Resource departments are the target of so many corporate jokes and have such dismal reputations They pay to hear advice from a guy who is considered one of the greatest failures in the history of American politics.
News reports say Biden spoke to them about the risks of the U.S.’s move toward isolationism and the dangers of abandoning his administration’s efforts to strengthen the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance. In just one day President Trump convinced the stingy NATO crowd to up their anti to 5% from the measly 2% it was contributing under Biden.
“We strengthened NATO in a significant way,” Biden told the audience. Really? This is the guy who G7 leaders had to physically lead back to their meeting when he wandered off glassy-eyed and aimlessly toward s a group of paratroopers packing their gear instead of huddling with his peers.
“You know, I often ask the question if America doesn’t lead the world, who can? Not a joke,” he told the HR crowd. The joke is that they paid to hear him say that.
It’s a strange and bizarre world this sad befuddled old man lives in. He is in need of a professional caretaker, one that will prevent him from making any future public appearances that will further humiliate him.
If nothing else the dignity, prestige, and reputation of the American presidency is at stake.

A Goofy Gaggle: A local group estimated at more than 30 folks gathered outside of Republican Congressman Aaron Bean’s Fernandina Beach office this past Monday, July 7, to chant their opposition to the Republican Congressman’s recent vote in favor of the “Big Beautiful Bill” that was signed into law July 4, and to oppose Bean’s reelection next year.
In addition to the regular collection of grey-haired granny goofballs, this group included a small handful of men, who are either unemployed or took a vacation day to express their discontent. .
News Leader reporter Ashley Chandler’s factual account was a refreshing change from former reporter Julia Roberts’ biased blather that was tolerated and probably encouraged by the paper’s former lefty Editor Tracy Dishman.
The gathering was also “reported” by the online Obsrver’s myopic Mike Lednovich to have been organized under the umbrella of something called Unified Nassau. I’ve never heard of the group. Unemployed local leftist gadfly, Sheila Cocchi, wasn’t reported to be involved, missing an opportunity to flaunt her far-left credentials once again publicly.
The estimate that a few dozen people attended the demonstration, brings to mind a quip from the late comedian George Carlin: “Never underestimate the power of stupid people in groups.”

The usual collection of local protestors confirmed why they aren’t the brightest bulbs in the chandelier since the bill was signed into law by President Trump July 4. If they wanted to protest the bill, wouldn’t it have been more effective to do so before it was passed?
Holding signs and chanting their messages of concern, participants cited objections to provisions in the bill, including proposed cuts to Medicaid, tax breaks they say disproportionately benefit billionaires, and potential reductions in funding for essential agencies like FEMA and NOAA. All talking points provided by The Democrat party.
In other words the blatantly uninformed group protested Bean’s vote to cut fraud and waste in social programs that protect Americans and boots illegal immigrants and fraudsters. The sign-wavers are probably worried that they, instead of their tax-paying neighbors, will have to start supporting their unemployed basement-dwelling, free-loading kids and grandkids.
Don’t ask any of the sign-wavers to explain the issues they are protesting. They would be stumped for answers.
The far-left online Observer’s pretend reporter, Lednovich, purported to analyze the protestors’ purpose writing: “The demonstration underscored growing unease among residents about the local impact of federal decisions and the perceived prioritization of wealthy interests over community well-being and disaster preparedness.”
Really? Did Lednovich interview anyone involved in the protest? Did he interview those that proposed the bill? Did he interview any of those that support or drafted the bill?
Lednovich and the protestors fail to understand that we should we helping those that need assistance and that those that are able should be contributing to that assistance.
The coverage by the News Leader is a refreshing change, providing its readers accurate and unbiased accounts of local events. The more accurate and balanced the News Leader becomes, the more ridiculous the Observer looks.
Having Black Lives Matter activist Lednovich on its staff should be embarrassment enough for the useless online Observer. Lednovich only adds fuel to that progressive outlet’s blather by making up material he wishes was news.
He was a dreadful city commissioner. He’s an even worse reporter.

Jacksonville A Major Snoozer: A new nationwide ranking has found Jacksonville to be the most boring city in America due to its lack of nightlife, cultural attractions, and dining diversity.
They forgot to mention it’s also home to professional football’s worst performing team in the history of the NFL, that its pedestrians are more likely to get run over than those in other major U.S. cities, and why residents there go to Yulee for excitement.
FinanceBuzz evaluated 75 major cities, assigning each an excitement score based on nightlife, dining variety, cultural landmarks, outdoor recreation, and festivals. Jacksonville received just 14.3 points.
Florida and Texas have two cities among the 10 most boring cities: Jacksonville and Tallahassee in Florida, and Corpus Christi and San Antonio in Texas. Conversely, two of the five most exciting cities in the country, Miami and Orlando, are in the Sunshine State.
Jacksonville leaders pushed back, arguing the report overlooks gems like the St. Johns River, local art walks, and a growing craft beer scene. Ho Hum!
This scathing report is a reason Amelia Island is filled with Jacksonville residents most weekends and not the other way around.

The Antisemitism Mystery: Why are so many Democrats antisemitic and so many Jews Democrats? British-born commentator and journalist Douglas Murray doesn’t specifically answer that riddle but does have an observation about what’s happening on American college campuses.
He says: “Antisemitism is the first sign that a society has gone rotten. It’s a sign that society is becoming conspiratorial, stupid, and positively evil. It is also a war on success – not only Israel’s but also the success of Jews historically.”
