Press Release
By Congressman Aaron Bean
06-10-23
Hello Citizens Journal Florida, The federal government is eyeing a regulation to effectively ban gas stoves under the guise of climate activism. Make no mistake: nearly 187 million Americans use natural gas because it is safe, affordable, and reliable. The proposed de facto ban on gas stoves will not save our planet. It will take away consumer choice, end 4.1 million jobs in the natural gas industry, and increase electricity bills making it harder for families during a time of record-breaking inflation. To protect your freedom to purchase affordable appliances, House Republicans have introduced the Save Our Gas Stoves Act and the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act. Stay tuned as the House debates these important bills. CONGRESSMAN BEAN INTRODUCES RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AMERICANS WITH BATTEN DISEASE |
On Friday, I introduced a bipartisan resolution supporting the designation of June 9, as “Batten Disease Awareness Day.” Families and caregivers impacted by this disease are often fighting a silent battle due to a lack of public awareness. Increasing awareness helps to honor their fight, and strengthen the development of innovative treatment options and research for a cure. Learn more here. |
BEAN CALLS ON BLINKEN TO DENOUNCE NORTH KOREA’S POSITION AT WHO |
The election of North Korea to the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) is yet another example of communist influence at the WHO. For decades, North Korea has violated human rights and has medically neglected its own people. The North Korean regime has no qualifications to be a global heath leader. That’s why I joined a letter demanding Secretary Antony Blinken adamantly and publicly oppose the regime’s membership. Read the letter here. |
