Press Release

By Congressman Aaron Bean

02-09-24

When it comes to the border crisis, the Senate’s $118 BILLION immigration bill is not the solution. This bill would legitimize illegal immigration making the crisis at the border more precarious and further put our nation in debt.

You’ve heard this bill is bad, I promise you it’s even worse than what you’ve been told. Tucked inside this legislation is language that would:Allow up to 5,000 illegal encounters per day.Continue catch-and-release.Bail out sanctuary cities.Allow President Biden to postpone wall building during his term & withhold wall money to be used during the next administration. If this weren’t terrifying enough, it would take over a BILLION dollars of your tax money to process more illegal immigrants and transport them throughout the United States further overwhelming our cities.

Let’s be clear: President Biden holds the executive power to reverse the crisis he created today. He’s chosen not to. It’s up to House Republicans to use the leverage we have to secure the border and protect the American people from the Biden administration.DEFUNDING FOREIGN DICTATORSThis week, I was proud to join my colleagues in an effort to cut off all funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Since day one, UNRWA has aided terrorism and allowed the education of Gazan children to hate Israel and the Jewish people.

We should keep our dollars at home instead of sending them to foreign dictators and terrorists.  Learn more HERE .CONGRESSMAN BEAN LAMBASTS MAYORKAS’ REFUSAL TO PROTECT AMERICAImageSecretary Mayorkas has allowed our border crisis to happen—at the direction of the Biden administration. He has unilaterally disarmed the border by refusing to enforce existing laws and blatantly disregarding his oath of office.CLICK HERE TO WATCHBEAN TAKES AIM AT BIDEN’S FREEZE ON NATURAL GAS EXPORTS When it comes to the Biden administration’s energy policies: climate activists come first, American families come last. I was proud to join Rep. Brandon Williams’ resolution and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ letter calling on President Biden to reverse his ban on American LNG export projects.

With the United States and our home state of Florida being major exporters of LNG, I will continue to fight the Biden administration’s disastrous policies and put American energy first. Learn more HERE .HEARING RECAP: PROTECTING MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDRENImage
In Tuesday’s Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee, I kicked off a hearing to highlight the important work the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is doing to recover children who are missing and protect our nation’s most vulnerable.

In order to facilitate NCMEC’s efforts, it is essential that we pass my bill to reauthorize the Missing Children’s Assistance Act and update provisions to enhance coordination efforts and promote safety for children using technology. Learn more about my bill HERE CLICK HERE FOR AN INSTANT REPLAY
