Celebrate History in Music This Sunday!
We’re thrilled to welcome Sean McCarthy, beloved Fernandina Beach songwriter, entertainer, and boat captain, along with his fellow musician friends from Nashville, TN, to perform songs from their new album Isle of Eight Flags.

From “Smuggler’s Paradise” to “Shrimping Town,” this musical tribute captures the rhythms of the island’s past.

Tammy Rogers is a Nashville musician and songwriter, a founding member of the Grammy-winning band The SteelDrivers and a part-time resident of Fernandina Beach.

Thomm Jutz is a Grammy-nominated Nashville musician and songwriter who loves visiting his friends Sean McCarthy and Tammy Rogers in Fernandina Beach.

Meet Our Speaker
Jonathan Rich
Jonathan Rich is the writer who, working with photographer Phil Eschbach, created Spires in the Sun. Last year, their book won the Florida History Society’s highest award for a work of nonfiction. It tells the stories of the oldest surviving wood-frame Gothic churches in Florida, including four designed by Fernandina Beach’s Robert Sands Schuyler. Jonathan is a retired lawyer who has studied Florida human and natural history for decades. He lives in Winter Park, in Central Florida.
Join us this Wednesday, December 3, for an illustrated talk on Florida’s distinctive Carpenter Gothic churches, the people who built them, and the lasting legacy of architect Robert Schuyler.

Ghost Tour every Friday
Join our guide for a spooky walk through Fernandina’s historic streets. On this one-hour journey through time, you’ll hear tales of the town’s earliest residents, now at rest in St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery.

Pub Crawl
Join us every first and third Wednesdays of the monthfor an evening of history, stories, and specialty drinks during our beloved Pub Crawl!

Discover the charm of downtown Fernandina as we explore some of the most popular, notorious, or otherwise historic pubs and bars. This 2.5-hour guided tour takes you through about eight blocks of the historic district, stopping at three to four pubs to savor a specialty drink and hear colorful tales of Fernandina’s past. It’s history with a kick!
