Amelia Musical Playhouse will wrap up its 9th season with our production of CHICAGO. This show is the High School version, starring 28 local teens, and featuring an 8 piece pit orchestra. (above image: cast photo by Tammy Lynch)
This production is true to the original Broadway musical, with simple costumes and a black box set. The show is all about the music and dance!  Directed and Music Directed by Jill Dillingham, with choreography by Carey Dresser and Jennifer McCarthy, this show is full of the razzle dazzle that made the original a classic.Â
AMP performed this show several years ago, with McCarthy in the ensemble, Dillingham as the Matron, and Dresser directing. It has been so rewarding to bring this show to our stage again with our teen actors.  The content has been adjusted a little so it would be considered PG. Lead roles have been double cast, so check with your cast members for dates if you are coming to see someone specific.
