The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

Sen. Markwayne Mullin: Trump Running In ‘Overdrive’ And Setting The Pace
President Donald Trump is running in “overdrive” and setting the pace for all of Congress, Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday. Mullin observed that Trump only has one gear: Always on “overdrive.”
“I don’t care when you talk to him. I don’t care when you visit with him. He’s got one gear, and it’s always in overdrive. He is running hard. And because he runs at a heavy pace, as I said before, he set the pace for all of us, and so he’s pushing hard,” he said, noting that he has never seen anyone able to “weave in and out of extremely complicated issues and multitask at the same time with everybody around him.”
“He doesn’t micromanage. He lets them go do their job, and he comes to conclusions. He makes decisions quick, which is not often” in politics, Mullin pointed out. “In politics, it takes forever. … President Trump doesn’t work that way. He walks in the very first meeting knowing exactly what he wants. He throws out a very high number, and it’s just what he does. He throws out a very high number, and then he negotiates from that number. And the media will say, ‘Well, he didn’t get what he wanted.’ Well, how do you know what he didn’t get?” he asked, encouraging people to read Art of the Deal to “understand” how Trump negotiates.

Deep State Blocked Recount To Steal Texas Seat
Voters in Texas’s 28th Congressional District—which includes Laredo, home to the nation’s busiest port for trade with Mexico—are being asked to trust the results of a race that involved an indicted congressman, hundreds of voter complaints, and a judge who blocked an election review before announcing his plan to run for the same seat.
Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX), who is currently serving his eleventh term in the U.S. House of Representatives, is under federal investigation. Cuellar and his wife allegedly received over $600,000 from foreign entities between 2014 and 2021. These payments came from an Azerbaijani state-owned oil company and a major bank in Mexico.
Court documents confirm that at least three of Cuellar’s top aides are cooperating with federal prosecutors. Despite the seriousness of the case, Cuellar was allowed to remain on the ballot in 2024 without any significant media coverage or political pressure to step aside.
After the election, Cuellar’s Republican challenger, Jay Furman, formally contested the results. He submitted more than 80 affidavits and hundreds of legal declarations from voters who claimed that his name was missing from their ballots.

World Athletics Requires Females To Confirm Biological Sex To Compete
World Athletics, the international governing body for track and field, has introduced a new policy: all female athletes must undergo a one-time genetic test to confirm their gender eligibility before competing at the World Championships in Tokyo this September.
Reportedly, the policy’s origins trace back to controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who caused a firestorm of controversy during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Khelif won the gold medal but faced intense scrutiny after previously being disqualified from the 2023 Russia-led International Boxing Association (IBA) World Championships due to tests reportedly indicating the presence of male XY chromosomes.
World Athletics’ new policy introduces the sex-determining Region Y (SRY) gene test, a highly precise method to confirm biological sex. The test, conducted via a cheek swab or blood draw for DNA analysis, detects the presence of the SRY gene, which is typically found on the Y chromosome and causes male development. Female athletes must pass the test by September 13, 2025, to be eligible for the Tokyo World Championships.

Gov Abbott Says He Will Remove From Office Democrat Lawmakers Who Fled Texas To Block GOP Congressional Redistricting
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) threatened to remove from office Democrat lawmakers who fled to Illinois to block GOP Congressional redistricting. Texas Democrats fled the state to block the Republicans in the legislature from holding a special session and to block a redistricting vote on Sunday. The Texas Democrats reportedly fled to Illinois to break quorum to block the Texas House from holding a vote in a special session.
The new congressional map will add five GOP House seats. The Texas Democrats pulled a similar stunt back in 2021.

Republican Firebrand Nancy Mace Launches Bid For South Carolina Governor
Rep. Nancy Mace, the South Carolina Republican with a large national profile, on Monday declared her candidacy for Palmetto State governor. “I’m running to put South Carolina first,” Mace, a three-term House member who represents a coastal congressional district in the state’s Lowcountry, said in a statement shared first with Fox News Digital.
Mace, as she launched her campaign, argued that “we can continue doing the things we’ve always done,” as she took aim at what she called “weak leadership” in the state.”Or we can chart a new course – one filled with common sense and bold policies to hold the line for South Carolina,” she emphasized.

The fact-pattern that I establish in my new book, Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump, reveals a vast conspiracy to use lawfare to rig the race by engaging in an unprecedented level of coordination across branches of government, Democrat power structures, and the White House itself.
Their plan was simple and devious: If they could not stop Trump at the ballot box, they would stop him in the courtroom. Biden gave it away in a candid moment in October 2024: “We gotta lock him up.” (Trump used similar language about Hillary Clinton, but only as campaign rhetoric when his power over the country’s legal infrastructure was nonexistent). It was a widely held belief in Biden’s inner circle that Trump would be in prison before election day 2024. It was just a matter of making sure he got there.
Had the Democrats succeeded and stopped Trump from being elected, it would easily qualify as the biggest political scandal in modern political history. Thus far, however, there has been no accountability delivered to any of the main lawfare practitioners that was not administered by the voters themselves.
The full scope of the White House’s specific effort to subvert our democracy to orchestrate the jailing of their main political opponent will require subpoenas and investigations carried out by the Congress and/or the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC). These investigations can and should begin immediately. Without accountability or consequences, it is a guarantee that they will use the same playbook to subvert our democracy in future elections. It is already happening.
Breaking the Law details a brief history of modern lawfare before I launch into investigations into the six major cases against Donald Trump that played out between his two administrations. (I also lay out the ongoing threat of rogue district judges and prosecutors who have abandoned the concept of law and order to stop Donald Trump and the MAGA agenda.)
Of the six cases, four were criminal and designed to jail Trump, and two were civil and devised to bankrupt him. All were deliberately intended to consume time, focus, and resources. He was often forced to campaign from a courthouse. This was the design. Each of the six major cases I profile in the book has a direct connection to the Joe Biden White House.

RFK Jr. Pushes To Ban Using Food Stamps To Buy Soda
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that he is taking action to prevent Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) users from purchasing items such as sugary drinks. Kennedy pointed out that while people can make their own decisions regarding what to buy and what not to buy, taxpayers in the United States “should not pay” for people on SNAP to purchase items like sugary sodas.
The comments from Kennedy were made as he and U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary joined Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins in celebrating the signing of six new SNAP state waivers, which would “amend the statutory definition of food for purchase and end the subsidization of popular types of junk food beginning in 2026,” according to an HHS press release. States signing the new SNAP waivers include West Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Other states, such as Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Arkansas, Idaho, and Utah, have previously signed SNAP waivers.

Comer Unleashes Subpoena Storm: Clintons, Comey, Garland, Mueller Ordered To Testify In Epstein Probe
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced Tuesday that he has issued subpoenas to some of the most powerful political figures of the past three decades to testify in an investigation centered on the “horrific crimes perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein,” as described in the Committee’s press release.

Abbott Files Lawsuit to Start Removal ‘Derelict Democrat Texas House Members’ Who Fled State To Block Redistricting Bill
Governor Greg Abbott filed a lawsuit Tuesday night with the Texas Supreme Court seeking to begin the process for the removal of House Democrat Caucus Chairman Gene Wu and others. The Chairman, along with most of his Democrat House colleagues, fled the state to block a quorum in protest of the GOP’s efforts to carry out congressional seat redistricting. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a notice with the Texas Supreme Court in support of the governor’s lawsuit.
Abbott wrote a letter to the Texas Supreme Court about his action of filing directly with the State’s top court, bypassing the district and appellate courts. The governor cited Section 22 of the Texas Constitution and court precedent for his actions.
Late Tuesday night, the Supreme Court requested a response from the respondent, Chairman Gene Wu, no later than Friday, August 8, at 5 p.m. The case number for the Emergency Petition for Writ of Quo Warranto is 25-0674.

JPMorgan And Bank Of America ‘Debanked’ Trump Under Pressure From Biden Admin Over January 6: Sources
PMorgan and Bank of America “debanked” President Trump for his role in the January 6 Capitol Hill melee following pressure from the Biden administration’s banking regulators and the Federal Reserve, people with direct knowledge of the matter tell The Post.
The exact reason for Trump and his tens of millions of dollars in holdings being kicked off the JPMorgan banking platform, and then denied access to Bank of America’s services, has yet to be reported.
But sources at the banks — the largest and second-largest in the US in terms of assets — confirmed the case stemmed from the controversy surrounding Trump’s actions that day, and threats from President Joe Biden’s bank regulators that banking the former president’s money put them in danger of falling afoul of rules that prohibit financial institutions from doing business with individuals and companies that present a “reputational risk.”

Trump Signs Orders To Ban Politicized Debanking
President Donald Trump on Thursday signed executive orders to ban politicized debanking and to broaden 401(k) investment choices for Americans. The first order, “Guaranteeing Fair Banking for All Americans,” prohibits federal regulators from pushing policies that enable banks and other financial institutions to deny services due to “political beliefs, religious beliefs, or lawful business activities,” a White House fact sheet on the order notes.
Banking regulators are directed to end “reputational risk and other equivalent concepts” that foster “politicized or unlawful debanking.” Under the order, all small financial institutions that fall under the Small Business Administration’s jurisdiction will be required “to make reasonable efforts to reinstate clients and potential clients previously denied services due to unlawful debanking.”

President Trump Announces Replacement For Vacancy On The Federal Reserve Board
President Trump on Thursday afternoon announced Dr. Stephen Miran will fill the vacancy on the Federal Reserve Board until January 31, 2026. Last week Biden-appointed Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler announced she will be resigning from her post Friday, August 8. Adriana Kugler’s resignation left President Trump a vacancy to fill.
“Dr. Kugler, who has served as a governor since September 13, 2023, submitted her letter of resignation to President Trump and will return to Georgetown University as a professor this fall,” the announcement said last week.
On Thursday, President Trump announced Dr. Stephen Miran, current Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, will fill the vacancy.

Project Veritas on Thursday released part two of its whistleblower investigation into former US Attorney General Bill Barr. On Tuesday, Project Veritas released a bombshell story from a whistleblower alleging former US Attorney General Bill Barr along with media figure Armstrong Williams is running an illegal immigration visa fraud scheme for elites and billionaires.
Patrícia Lélis, whistleblower, former Brazilian journalist at Howard Stirk Holdings, who is in hiding abroad, told Project Veritas that she was prosecuted after reporting Bill Barr and Armstrong William to the FBI.
On Thursday, Project Veritas released a video of Lélis explaining how Bill Barr plotted prosecutions of Trump to block his political comeback.

Assembly Bill 495 (AB 495) has many California parents shaking with rage, coupled with fear. Not that long ago, California parents were battling against their daughters having to compete with biological boys wanting to cosplay as girls. Before that, parents were being forced to affirm their child’s chosen gender or face the threat of them being removed from their home. AB 495 came quickly down the pike, presenting itself as a compassionate solution for illegal alien children whose parents might be swept up in an ICE raid and deported. What it turns out to be is a nuclear bomb that decimates parental rights, not to mention opens all children — legal or illegal — to further harm and human trafficking.
What is AB 495? Deceptively named the “Family Preparedness Plan Act of 2025,” it would allow any adult who claims “mentoring” or oversight to take guardianship of your child for any reason without your knowledge or consent. All they have to do is fill out a form.
Calvary Chino Hills Pastor Jack Hibbs is calling all California parents to take action and show up in person at the Sacramento Capitol on August 19, a day after the legislature returns from their Summer recess. Someone arranged for Hibbs and the parental contingent to hold the Capitol steps for the entire day. He urged congregants to do all they could to make their way to Sacramento, “to stand for righteousness, and to do the right thing.”
