By Judge John Marshall Meisburg, Jr., 7-26-25

President Trump is the greatest Christian President of my lifetime.  Reagan was great.  But Trump trumps them all.  Many people have been biased by the liberal media, and fail to recognize the great Christian qualities of this man.  While his past is not perfect, I believe that he is now a “born again” Christian with a deep faith in Jesus Christ. And, I believe that Trump has been anointed by God to lead America at this critical time in history much like God anointed King David to lead Israel.

Number one, President Trump now mentions God and Jesus Christ in many of his speeches.  In his recent speech about Iran, he said “I love you God!” I have never heard a President or politician say those words.  And that is the first Commandment according to Jesus. Matthew 22:37-40; Mark 12:29-30.

Number two, President Trump has created an Office of Faith in the West Wing of the White House, which is unprecedented.  The mission of the Office of Faith is to empower faith-based entities with federal grants, and houses of worship to better serve families and communities, and to fight anti-Christian and anti-Semitic bias in America, which is a very important current problem. Trump signed an Executive Order creating a task force to identify anti-Christian bias to “end the war on Christians”, and to end the weaponization of government against Christians.

Number three, President Trump begins every Cabinet meeting with prayer in Jesus Name. This was never done in the Biden years, and by other Democrats, and is a great profession of faith for the country, and a great role model for the entire federal government, and our young people.  In 50 years of federal service, I never heard a meeting begin with prayer.  Now that is going to change.  Faith liaisons will also be appointed in every federal agency to insure that all government policy is consistent with Biblical and Christian values.

Number four, President Trump gave God all the credit and glory for saving his life from an assassin’s bullet in Butler, Pennsylvania. When the bullet was shot at him, the Lord had him turn his head a little to right, and the bullet just whisked his right ear, saving his life. Trump said this: “By the hand of Providence, and the grace of Almighty God, my life was spared.”  I believe that this confirmed that God wanted Trump to be our President, and was major reason he was re-elected.

Number five, President Trump has taken a great stand for Israel, the Holy Land, and moved our embassy to Jerusalem, which many Presidents promised but never did.  Trump recognized Israel’s control over the Golan Heights, and negotiated the Abraham Accords which are historic peace treaties between the Arab nations and Israel.  Recently, President Trump took dramatic military action to destroy the nuclear facilities in Iran, which were an existential threat to Israel.

The Lord commands us to bless Israel, and promises to bless us if we do so.  Genesis 12:3. President Trump has fulfilled that Biblical mandate like no other President in American history, and the President of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu recently said that President Trump is the best friend Israel ever had.

Number six, President Trump has taken bold action against the scourge of anti-Semitism that has been rising in our land after the attack upon Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2024.  Trump cut off millions of dollars of federal funding to Harvard and Columbia Universities for failing to protect Jewish students from violence and threats to them on campus.

Number seven, President Trump has restored law and order to America and has protected our border from illegal aliens, both of which are very Biblical actions.  Romans 13:1-7; Proverbs 29:18. He is making America safe again. God is a god of law and order, and President Trump is carrying out that mandate.

Number eight, President Trump has exhibited almost super-human courage and boldness in the face of unfounded, unethical, slanderous and even illegal political attacks by the liberals and Democrats. Courage and boldness are very important Godly and Christian qualities. Joshua 1:9 According to the Book of Revelation, cowards go to the lake of fire.  Revelation 21:8.

Number nine, President Trump appointed three pro-life Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, and they reversed Roe v. Wade and ended the federal right to abortion.  This was a great spiritual and political victory for the rights of the unborn.  See Psalm 139:13-16; Exodus 20:13. Many Presidents including Reagan promised to do that, but failed. Trump also recently ended federal funding (in regard to Medicaid) to Planned Parenthood (the largest abortion provider in the country) which has never been done. Abortions have now dropped dramatically nationwide, and the American abortion holocaust, which cursed America, is fading.

Number nine, President Trump has stated that America will not recognize “Gay Pride Month” in June, and has ordered that gay flags will not fly over any American government buildings or embassies world-wide. This is a very Biblical stance.  Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26-28.

Number ten, President Trump is now a faithful and loving  married man, to a wonderful, Christian lady (Melania) who prays for him daily.  Marriage between one man and one woman is a very honorable Christian virtue and state and a great role model for our young people. Matthew 19:4-6. He is also a great father of five children, and a grandfather of eleven.

Number eleven, President Trump has said that he will restore religion to America. In his Easter message, Trump said that “We are going to make America bigger, better, stronger, wealthier, happier and more religious than it has ever been before !!!”  And, we are now seeing young people all over America returning to faith and to church.

Number twelve President Trump led the war to restore the celebration of Christmas (the birthday of Jesus Christ) in America.  For years under Obama and the Democrats, Christmas was being marginalized and taken out of the public and private square by government and by many private businesses.  The liberals wanted to replace Christmas break with “Holiday break”, and say “Happy Holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas.” However, President Trump has made Christmas great again, and you see it celebrated in government and in stores again all over the country.

Number thirteen, President Trump exhibits great diligence and hard work as President, which are very important Christian values. The Puritan work ethic made America the most

prosperous nation in the history of the world, and President Trump exemplifies that virtue daily by working as President 24/7 in the White House, Oval Office and wherever he may be. The Bible says that diligence and hard work are a virtue and a precursor to material success.  Colossians 3:23; Proverbs 6:6;  Ephesians 4:28; Proverbs 10:4-5; Proverbs 12:24-27; Proverbs 14:23; Proverbs 12:11; Proverbs 22;29; Proverbs 31. The Bible says that those who do not work should not eat.  2 Thessalonians 3:10. That is the Scripture quoted by Captain John Smith a Founder of Virginia that led to great prosperity in America and the American system of capitalism and private enterprise.

Number fourteen, President Trump has taken bold action to uncover and prosecute waste, fraud and corruption in our government.  Other Presidents gave that lip service, but Trump actually has done it, creating a DOGE office that found 8 Billion dollars of wasted federal money that has now been restored by Congress. One cut was NPR and PBS which consistently have aired ultra-liberal, anti-Christian bias for years. See Ephesians 5:11 (“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them”).

Number fifteen, President Trump has stood up for parental rights in education, and school choice, and defended Christian parents who have spoken out in school board meetings about books and teachings that violate their faith.

Number sixteen, President Trump has defended Roman Catholics who were targeted by the FBI under Biden as “domestic terrorists” for protesting abortion clinics.  Since abortion is murder, Trump is to be honored for defending the rights of Christians to protest abortion. Psalm 139:13-16; Exodus 20:13.

Some people criticize Trump for calling people names.

But Trump only does that in political self-defense to other politicians who have first attacked him, and the names that he uses are brilliant, funny, not profane and go to the heart of the political issue involved.  Jesus also actually called names of hypocritical people (Pharisees) who attacked and judged Him in their hearts and thoughts, such as “Sons of the Devil”, “Brood of Vipers” and “Whitewashed tombs, full of dead mens’ bones inside”. John 8:44; Matthew 12:34; Matthew 23:27-28. Trump often calls out the political hypocrisy of other politicians.

Finally, President Trump comes from a family and ancestral line that prophetically laid the spiritual foundation for him to assume the American Presidency.  His mother was a niece to the intercessors in Scotland between 1949 and 1952  who led the great Hebrides Christian revival.  It was the last known revival in the United Kingdom.  Mary Anne Smith MacLeod, niece of the two Intercessors who started the revival, moved to America, married Frederick Trump, and one of their children was Donald Trump, who later became President of the United States.

So, we really need to honor our great Christian President, Donald J. Trump.  However, we should also honor our President, regardless of party.  God says to pray for and honor our leaders because they are placed in power by the Almighty hand of God.

1 Timothy 2:1-2. Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:1-7; Romans 13:1-7.

So we need to honor and respect President Trump and submit to his authority as President.

In conclusion, President Trump is clearly the greatest Christian President of my lifetime, and may be the best President in American history. All Americans, and especially all Christians, should honor and respect him for his character, his Godly anointing,  and his great achievements and pray for him daily as he leads America!
