Press Release

By Congressman Aaron Bean

7/21/25

This week, as founder and co-chair of the DOGE Caucus, I proudly led the charge in passing H.R. 4, the Rescissions Act of 2025—a major victory for fiscal responsibility and taxpayer advocacy.

With this landmark rescissions package—the first of its kind in 25 years—we’re taking one small step to cut wasteful spending and one giant leap toward fiscal sanity. Thanks to the relentless work of the DOGE Caucus, we’ve successfully eliminated $9 billion in wasteful government spending, including foreign aid programs that don’t serve America’s interests.ImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH MY REMARKS

This bill doesn’t just trim the fat—it restores public trust and sets a new standard for how government stewards taxpayer dollars. Now, H.R. 4 heads to the President’s desk, marking a critical step forward in our mission to rein in reckless spending and put America back on a path to fiscal health.

The work is far from finished—and the DOGE Caucus is just getting started.

STRENGTHENING AMERICA’S DEFENSE—AND NORTHEAST FLORIDA’S ROLE

This week, the House passed the Department of Defense Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2026, a landmark bill that strengthens our military, enhances border security, and delivers critical support to service members and their families—including a 3.8% pay raise for all military personnel.

As part of this effort, I proudly secured a $9.4 million investment to streamline production of the Bow-Conformal Array (BCA)—a cutting-edge sonar system for the Virginia-class attack submarine program. This investment reinforces Northeast Florida’s pivotal role in our national defense strategy, ensuring our submarine fleet remains second to none and our region continues to lead in defense innovation.

Northeast Florida stands at the heart of our national defense strategy—and I’m working to reinforce that strength for years to come. I was proud to cast my vote for a bill that pays tribute to our military legacy, enhances combat readiness, and prioritizes our national security.

NO ROOM FOR ERROR: AMERICA MUST LEAD ON CRYPTOImageCLICK HERE TO WATCH MY REMARKS

This week, the Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee convened to explore digital asset policy for the 21st century and how Congress can help position the United States as a global leader in crypto innovation.

The United States cannot afford to fall behind—especially after the costly lessons learned from lagging in chip manufacturing. If we want to lead in innovation, protect our national security, and unlock new engines of economic growth, we must establish strong American leadership in the digital asset space.

CUTTING THROUGH THE CONFUSION ON MEDICARE
ImageHealthcare decisions are tough enough—seniors shouldn’t have to compare apples to oranges when choosing between Medicare Advantage and Fee-for-Service. Inconsistent data puts access and care at risk.

That’s why I introduced the Apples to Apples Comparison Act, requiring the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide clear, side-by-side comparisons of costs and outcomes. Seniors deserve reliable information to choose the plan that fits their lifestyle, budget, and health needs. Read more HERE .

SECURING AMERICA’S DIGITAL FUTURE

During crypto week, we went full throttle, passing three major bills to strengthen America’s financial leadership for the future:

The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act to block the federal government from issuing a surveillance-style digital dollar. I was proud to help introduce this bill and look forward to the Senate taking it up quickly.

The GENIUS Act to modernize our payment system for the 21st century, ensuring the dominance of the U.S. dollar and boosting demand for U.S. Treasuries.

The CLARITY Act to provide the clear market structure needed to make America the crypto capital of the world.

Together, these bills represent a bold step toward digital asset leadership, economic freedom, and boosting our 21st-century financial infrastructure. The future is digital—and America must lead.

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATIONImage
On Thursday morning, I had the pleasure of spending time with a group of passionate interns just beginning their journey in public service. I reminded them that standing out isn’t about perfection—it’s about effort, grit, and the drive to grow. I’ve been in their shoes, and it’s inspiring to see the next generation already on the path to leadership.

CASEWORK CORNER

A Nassau County constituent was approved for disability insurance back in December, but had yet to receive any of her benefits. She had attempted to contact the Social Security Administration, but had not heard back.

After calling my office, we quickly got in touch with the SSA to expedite the resolution of her issue. As a result, she received over $57,000 in past due benefits, and is now receiving her full benefits.

If you are a constituent in need of casework assistance, my staff and I are here to help you. Call us today at 904-830-3933.
