Press Release

This week, I hosted a roundtable discussion with the First Coast Manufacturers Association, bringing together leaders from across Northeast Florida to discuss the serious challenges facing our manufacturing sector, including expiring tax cuts, rising costs, and workforce shortages.![]() Our manufacturers made one thing crystal clear: the Trump tax cuts have fueled growth, supported hiring, and kept operations competitive. Without action, looming tax hikes would pose a devastating threat to thousands of local jobs and billions in economic output. That’s why the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) matters. It offers real, immediate solutions—making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, and giving businesses the certainty they need to invest, expand, and thrive. I’m taking the stories and concerns of these manufacturers back to Washington and will continue fighting for policies that defend jobs, grow wages, and keep Northeast Florida’s factories running strong. INVESTING IN NASSAU COUNTY’S SAFETY ![]() A heartfelt thank you goes out to the men and women in blue who dedicate themselves to our safety every single day. This bold investment in public safety infrastructure is a decisive step toward building a stronger, safer Nassau County for generations to come. CELEBRATING GROWTH: DANONE EXPANSION BRINGS JOBS & OPPORTUNITY TO DUVAL COUNTY ![]() On Tuesday, I proudly attended the Danone ribbon-cutting ceremony in Jacksonville, marking a major expansion that goes far beyond increasing production—it’s about investing in hardworking Northeast Floridians and strengthening our local economy. The expansion brings 200 new full-time jobs, joining the 150 dedicated employees already at the Jacksonville plant. It’s a testament to Danone’s commitment to our region and a powerful example of job creation and opportunity right here in Northeast Florida. When companies invest in our people, our entire community rises. HOMETOWN HERO VISITS WASHINGTON FOR ARMY’S 250TH ANNIVERSARY ![]() I had the honor of meeting Joshua Minshew, a proud U.S. Army soldier from Middleburg, who was in Washington for the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary Parade. Joshua embodies the courage and commitment of our armed forces, and it was especially meaningful to celebrate this milestone with one of Florida’s own. During our meeting, I reaffirmed my commitment to ensuring our service members and their families receive the support and recognition they deserve. I salute all of our Northeast Florida service members and I’m honored to represent them in our nation’s capital.
