PROJECTS/OPERATIONS:
- A survey has been created to gather feedback on the Amelia Riverfront Restaurant (Brett’s)
demolition and redevelopment: www.tinyurl.com/redevelopmentsurvey - Despite the City’s efforts to momentarily pause beach renourishment to accomodate beach
visitors over July 4 weekend, Seaside Park will be closed to vehicular traffic for the
remainder of the US Army Corps of Engineers’ Beach Renourishment project. This closure is
expected to take place July 27 and is expected to last 2 – 3 weeks. Pedestrians will be able to access this area, but no driving or parking on the beach will be permitted - The Friendly Rd Force Main Project is nearing completion. This project involves the expansion of water and sewer mains into unincorporated areas.

- A Town Hall meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, at 5:00pm at City Hall. Topics will include the redevelopment of Amelia Riverfront Restaurant (Brett’s) area and Downtown Paid Parking.
Members of Waste Management and City staff took Commissioners on a tour of the Republic Recycling Plant
Sea Turtle Conservancy hosted a wildlife friendly lighting workshop to address problematic lighting on beachfront properties
Beach Renourishment crews are currently near Jefferson St. “Temporarily Closed” signs are placed at affected accesses as work continues south.
Thank you to Honey Done LLC for donating over 130 hours cleaning and sealing every Memorial Bench along Centre Street.

NEWS/PROMOTIONS:
Reminder that fireworks are not allowed on City
beaches. Last year, fireworks that were
improperly tossed into a beach access’ trash
enclosure caused $5,000 in damage. Please be
safe!
