By Congressman Aaron Bean

5/24/25

I’ve got good news…help is on the way! After vigorous debate, the House successfully passed the One Big Beautiful Bill. This bill is a game-changer for hardworking Americans—like yourself—who are quietly paying their bills, paying their taxes, and trying to stay afloat

The One Big Beautiful Bill is real tax relief for real Americans. It’s for those who are paid in tips, hourly workers who are working overtime, for families, and for seniors who have been struggling under the weight of inflation. And it is for the 91% of Americans who use the standard deduction. The bill expands the Child Tax Credit, secures our border, enhances education and health savings options, unleashes American energy, and encourages production on U.S. soil to ensure that Made In America means something once more.

This victory is about you—your family, your future, your financial freedom. We fought all night to get this done, and now, mission accomplished!

 MAHA MEETS CAPITOL HILLImage

The Ways and Means Committee had a productive meeting this week with Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy. Discussion surrounded the future of our nation’s healthcare system and Americans’ long-term well-being. We are committed to restoring trust, transparency, and putting public health back into the hands of the people. Big changes are ahead.

GATORS IN THE HOUSEImage

The Florida Gators men’s basketball team made history, and on Wednesday, they got to celebrate in style. Fresh off their incredible national championship victory, the team was honored at the White House, where they met with President Trump and reflected on their unforgettable season.

This celebratory event was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and championship spirit that they displayed all season. It was great to join my Florida Congressional Delegation colleagues, Secretary Rubio and Attorney General Bondi, in congratulating our Florida Gators— national champions and now White House honorees!

UPDATE: REVERSING BIDEN’S REGULATORY LEGACY

Since the start of the 119th Congress, the House has been steadily rolling back the more than 1,400 unnecessary regulations imposed by the Biden Administration on American businesses, workers, and families. This week, we passed:

S.J. Res. 13 to reverse a harmful bank merger rule that buried small and medium community banks in red tape.

S.J. Res. 31 to overturn the ‘Once-In-Always-In’ rule, which imposed unnecessary burdens on manufacturers and energy producers.

We are working together to put freedom, growth, and opportunity back in the hands of the American people.

HOUSE PASSED: BILL TO SIMPLIFY VETERANS’ FORMS

This week, the House passed H.R. 1286, the Simplifying Forms for Veterans Claims Act, marking a win for the best of the best of America—our veterans.

Our heroes shouldn’t have to battle red tape after serving our country, and this bill ensures a smoother, more accessible system by simplifying forms required by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for both veterans and survivors.

FIRESIDE CHAT WITH FINANCIAL ADVISORS AND ADVOCATESImage

This week, I joined financial advisors from Florida and across the nation at the Financial Services Institute Forum in Washington, DC. We delved into a crucial conversation: extending and expanding the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the need to reduce overburdensome regulations, and the impact of tariffs in a competitive world.

As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I’ll continue to keep pushing for pro-growth solutions that empower businesses, workers, and families across the Fourth District.

HONORING OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS
As Memorial Day approaches, many of us look forward to time with loved ones, backyard barbecues, and trips to the beach. But this weekend is about so much more than a long weekend—it’s a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

Their sacrifice has secured the freedoms we cherish today. So, as we gather with family and friends, let’s take a moment to reflect, appreciate, and pay tribute to our fallen heroes. Whether through a moment of silence, attending a local remembrance event, or simply thanking a veteran, let’s make sure their legacy is never forgotten. This Memorial Day, we remember. We honor. We say thank you.

CASEWORK CORNER
Tax season can be stressful enough, especially with all of the paperwork and arduous accounting involved. But what can make it even worse? Having an issue receiving your returns. One of my constituents in Jacksonville was having trouble with just that, so she reached out to my office for help. My staff were able to contact the different agencies involved and quickly resolve the issue. As a result, she received her entire $97,000 refund!

Are you a constituent in need of casework assistance? My staff and I are here to help

you. Call us today at 904-830-3933.
Sincerely,
