There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: the Trump presidency, immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, Elon Musk’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), taxpayer cuts, and Ukraine peace and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer: Trump’s ‘Whole Career’ About Working Class Coalition, ‘Fruits Of His Labor Now Paying Off’

Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer told Breitbart News exclusively in her office last week President Donald Trump’s entire focus during his “whole career” has been about protecting and advancing working class Americans’ interests and the “fruits of his labor are now paying off.”

Chavez-DeRemer, a Hispanic businesswoman and former U.S. House member who has deep ties to unions given that her father was a Teamster, is at the cutting edge of this new political realignment in the U.S. given her position in Trump’s Cabinet as the sort of link between business and labor and workers.

Chavez-DeRemer said a huge focus of the president and this administration is on getting wages up for American workers. Directly talking about wages like this is a deviation in a positive way for Republicans, who often previously talked only about the meta-level economic system but never got down to brass tacks on what it means for the actual workers. That’s clearly changing with Trump back in the White House and Chavez-DeRemer leading the Department of Labor.

Each month since Trump’s return to the White House, jobs numbers have defied expectations and Chavez-DeRemer said that is because the president’s broad vision for the U.S. economy is working. She said the president’s focus is primarily on workers and families—and pointed to the president’s trip to the Middle East last week as well as the recently-announced United Kingdom trade deal and the talks with China that commenced earlier this month.

Promises Made, Promises Kept: Memorial Day Set For Lowest Gas Prices In Over 20 Years

Americans celebrating Memorial Day by hitting the road will likely be paying the cheapest gas prices since 2003. GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform, said Tuesday that it forecasts the national average price of gasoline to be $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day. That would make it the cheapest since 2021 in nominal terms. After adjusting for inflation, it would be the lowest since 2003. This is not expected to be short-lived. Prices of gasoline are expected to average around $3.02 per gallon between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with prices falling below three dollars on some days.

Last summer, the national average price of gasoline was $3.58 per gallon on Memorial Day. This year’s lower price reflects increased oil production that has lowered crude oil prices. A barrel of Brent Crude, the global standard for oil prices, is currently priced at $65.07, down significantly from the $83.71 a year ago.

The low price of gasoline is a major political coup for President Donald Trump. On the campaign trail last year, Trump repeatedly said that a Trump administration would lower energy prices and lower gasoline prices. Democrats, including Cory Booker, attacked Trump for promising to bring down energy prices. Booker described Trump’s promise with profanity that can be paraphrased as false excrement.

Parents Clash At Illinois School Board Meeting After Transgender Biological Boy Beats 7th Grade Girls During Track Meet

Parents and local residents were deeply divided at a Chicago-area school board meeting on Monday, after a 7th-grade “transgender” biological boy beat all the girls at a track meet. Approximately 100 parents and residents attended the Naperville 203 Community School District Board meeting to speak out in favor of boys playing in girls’ sports and against it.

“I hope they freeze every dollar of the $8.9 million until you abide by Title IX. To the kids caught in this-girls crushed on the track and the boy misled into this chaos —we’re so sorry. You deserve better than adults’ failures,” Shannon Adcock of Awake Illinois said. “But there’s hope: we’re fighting for fairness, & we will win.” No action was taken to change the policies during the meeting.

Brooke Rollins: Government Weaponization Against The Maude Family Ranchers Should ‘Stun’ Every American

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Tuesday pointed out the Trump administration was able to undo an egregious instance of government weaponization against the Maude family of ranchers in South Dakota during a policy event hosted by Breitbart News. Rollins lamented how the “government has weaponized itself against families like the Maudes,” noting that they are fifth generation farmers and ranchers.

During the Biden administration, the United States Forest Service alerted the Maude family that their property allegedly blocked access to the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands and in good faith agreed to a survey of the property lines. However, after the survey was completed, the Biden administration transformed a simple civil dispute into a “costly, invasive, and unnecessary criminal prosecution.”

Rollins noted that the “fence that was put up in 1910 by Charles’s great-great grandad that no one ever thought there was a problem.” She added, “Fast forward 110 years, and someone from the Forest Service shows up, says your fence might not be in the right place.

“Agents in SWAT gear show up at their front door and say that they are being criminally charged for theft of government property and that they need to find guardians for their young children because they are likely going to jail,” the Agriculture Secretary continued. Rollins charged, “The fact that this happened in America should absolutely stun everyone in this room today, everyone on the livestream, every media representative that’s here.”

She asked rhetorically, “This is America. You’re going to put people in jail over a fence line?” Contrasting it with the Democrats, she said, “We have members of the other party going to El Salvador going to get a gang member out of prison, that’s who they are fighting for.”

Rollins remarked, “So, thankful to the White House, thankful to President Trump. We got all of the criminal charges dropped. We had the Maudes in town a week ago.” Rollins noted that they had set up a hotline to blow the whistle about other instances of government weaponization to stop more outrages like this.

Democrats Plan to Ramp Up ICE Obstruction Visits, Don’t Care if They Get Arrested

Congressional Democrats are reportedly gearing up to stage more ICE intervention efforts after Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) was arrested for a similar obstructionary attempt earlier this week. McIver was caught on video swinging fists and forearms at federal law enforcement officers on May 9th outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey. She has since been charged with assaulting and impeding those agents.

Axios spoke to several Democratic lawmakers who have allegedly “galvanized” behind what they consider to be a political pursuit of McIver despite the video evidence showing her acting violently. In reality, it’s not this arrest that has “galvanized” Democrats. They’ve always been in lockstep defense of criminal illegal aliens. That’s who they galvanize behind. Now, they want to double down on their stance. “Democrats should be all over oversight. … We have to double down,” Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH). “We have to do more.”

DOJ Opens Investigation Into Andrew Cuomo’s Deadly COVID Response

I’ve watched in surprise as former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has somehow reignited his political career after resigning over sexual harassment claims and overseeing one of the most disastrous COVID responses of any leader in the nation. His team forced elderly patients into nursing homes despite having the Wuhan Flu, and thousands of deaths allegedly resulted.

Now he’s leading the polls in the race for New York City mayor. Go figure. But his troubles are far from over: a report Tuesday reveals the Department of Justice has opened an investigation into his testimony at House Committee hearings in June and September of 2024 in which he testified that he did not review a crucial order regarding shoving infected folks into the nursing homes.

Massive Scandal Unfolds In Colorado Alleging Elections Are Rigged, And The Cover Up Is Real

Former Mesa County Clerk and Gold Star Mother, Tina Peters, is sitting in prison right now for preserving her own election records following the 2020 election before Dominion Voting Systems and Colorado Secretary of State, Jenna Griswold, could come in and erase them. Peters was following state and federal law to preserve those records, while Dominion and SOS Griswold are more likely the criminals unlawfully erasing them. This persecution of the innocent and promotion of criminality was a hallmark of the Biden era.

Trump’s DOJ has filed a statement of interest in Peter’s case, and President Trump himself has called attention to the fact that the persecution of Tina Peters is nothing more than Democrats covering up their own election crimes:

In the last week, new revelations have emerged out of Colorado that show there is a massive cover up of election crimes, just as President Trump stated. The revelations start with an analysis done by mathematician, Edward Solomon, for a case brought by Andy Thompson, a Nevada Citizen, against the Democrat Nevada Secretary of State, Cisco Aguilar.

Solomon is an expert witness in the case and has done extensive analysis on election night reporting and election records – uncovering likely fraud by deriving the very algorithms that are being used to create the “results” in elections all over the country. Solomon’s work has never been debunked.

Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ Gets House Approval

U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax and spending bill cleared another hurdle early Thursday morning as the House of Representatives delivered its assent. The vote was 215-214-1.

The multi-trillion dollar tax break package contains numerous elements of Trump’s far-reaching agenda and has been delivered via an all-night session. These include extending tax cuts passed in 2017, eliminating taxes on tips, spending more on defence and border security, while making government health care programs more accountable.

The president has called his legislative proposal a “big, beautiful, bill” – the measure is now officially known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” and was quick to applaud its passage: “Failure is not an option… Failure means a $4 trillion tax increase, the largest in American history, at a time when voters are already paying too much for everything else,” Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) spoke last week about passing the bill. “So we have to make this tax reform permanent.” The sprawling 1,000-page measure is now set for the Republican-led Senate which is working on its own version.

Kristi Noem Blocks Harvard from Enrolling Foreign Students

The federal government has blocked Harvard University’s ability to welcome foreign students as the university resists President Donald Trump’s popular and constitutionally mandated policy of ending racial favoritism in government-funded schools.

“This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on its campus,” said a statement from Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. She added: “It is a privilege, not a right, for universities to enroll foreign students and benefit from their higher tuition payments to help pad their multibillion-dollar endowments. Harvard had plenty of opportunities to do the right thing. It refused. They have lost their Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law. Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country. The decertification also means that existing aliens on F- or J- nonimmigrant status must transfer to another university in order to maintain their non-immigrant status,” Noem said in her letter to the university.

The cut-off is also intended to help end Harvard’s policy of racial favoritism when selecting American students. If continued, the policy will open up an additional 1,000 slots for American students each year.

Sen. Joni Ernst Finds ‘Huge’ Fraud In The $60 Billion Federal Employees Spent With Gov’t Credit Cards: Charges At Casinos, Bars, Pay-Per-View UFC Fights

On Thursday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) talked about wasteful spending on government credit cards. Ernst said, “[T]he federal government, through GSA credit cards, has 4.6 million active credit cards and accounts…we have a little less than half that number in federal employees.” She added that “a lot” of card usage occurs during federal holidays and on days like New Year’s Eve at “nightclubs, bars” and on “Sunday afternoons, okay, a big UFC fight or something pay-per-view.” And there are also cash withdrawals at casino ATMs. Ernst further stated that about 500,000 cards have now been canceled.

Clinton Judge Blocks Trump’s Reorganization Plans For 20 Federal Agencies

A federal judge on Friday turned a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) into a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump Administration’s effort to overhaul and reorganize 20 agencies in the Executive Branch. In February, President Trump implemented an executive order to completely overhaul the Executive Branch through the work of DOGE.

US District Judge Susan Illston, a Clinton appointee, said in order for President Trump to make such large-scale overhauls, he needs approval from Congress. Judge Illston blocked any reduction-in-force (RIF) notices to workers in 20 federal agencies.
