Students Serve as Breakfast Taste Testers
A lucky group of students at Fernandina Beach Middle School had the chance to be official taste testers during a fun and flavorful breakfast panel. With plates full of tasty samples like Breakfast Scrambles, Mini Cinnis, and sweet Trix French Toast, students gave their honest feedback—thumbs up, surprised smiles, and a few thoughtful bites included. This casual, creative event was a great way for the food and nutrition team to explore new breakfast options and hear directly from the students who know best. Judging by the
grins and requests for seconds, some of these items might be making their way onto future menus. Interested in having a taste test panel in your school? Email [email protected] for more information.

Pre-K Student Engineer with STEAM
This week in Mrs. Harper’s pre-kindergarten class at Callahan Elementary School, the children engaged in cooperative play during the STEAM center. This was an opportunity for them to explore early engineering through building structures and vehicles with Legos. Their favorite creation was a firetruck race car. They also practiced conversation skills, building their social development and learning how to play collaboratively.

Fourth Graders Beautify Campus for Earth Day
For Earth Day, Mrs. Carr and her fourth grade students adopted two flower beds on the
Yulee Elementary School campus to spruce up and beautify. Students used what they learned during their plant unit to select the best plants that would thrive in the hive. It
was a great experience for the students and one small way to give back to the school.
