From Nassau County National Day of Prayer Committee, 5-11-24
In a wonderful show of unity, diversity and non-partisanship, pastors from many area churches (see photo above) of all denominations and lay leaders gathered to intercede and pray for America on the Nassau County National Day of Prayer event on May 9th at First Baptist Church, Fernandina Beach.

The Pastors/intercessors included Pastor Bryan Jarvis, Fernandina Beach Church of Christ, Pastor Brian Winburn, Springhill Baptist Church, Pastor John Kasper, Blackrock Baptist, Pastor Ken Jones, Amelia Plantation Chapel, Pastor Jeremiah Robinson, Jr., New Zion Missionary Baptist, Pastor Dwayne Campbell, Elm Street Church of God, Pastor David Bradsher, Grace Community Church, Pastor Tom Hawkes, Christ Presbyterian Church, Father Eric Stelzer, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Pastor Adam Page, Amelia Baptist, Pastor Grenardo Felix, Trinity Methodist, Pastor Larry Osburn, River of Praise, Pastor Neil Helton, Amelia Baptist, Pastor Jeanette Richo, Fernandina Beach Church of God, Pastor Denise Meisburg, Living Waters World Outreach Center, and Pastor Wardell Avant, Kingdom Ministries Church of God.
The pastors prayed for God’s intervention in the centers of influence in our nation: Government, Military, Education and schools, Judicial/legal, Business, Media/Entertainment, Unborn/Sanctity of life, Families and Children and Churches and Pastors, and for the individual needs of attendees.
Also attending and speaking were Congressman Aaron Bean, Nassau County Undersheriff Jon Hooper, Nassau County School Superintendent Kathy Burns, Judge John Meisburg, Lisa Miller, Director of the Nest Pregnancy Center, Christina Houser, retired ESPN producer, Glenn Ellison, Director of the Parent Help Center, and David Davis, Haggai International Ministry and Steve Simmons, ERA Realty.

The Pastor and Greeter Coordinators were Nelson and Marilyn Showalter of First Presbyterian Church.
The music was provided by the Living Waters Praise Band, the Community choir directed by Pam Helton, and musicians from area churches.
The meeting was hosted by NDP Chairman Mike Isbell who spoke about the need for unity in Christ.
A love offering was taken to benefit Set Free Church, a 24/7 residential church for those struggling with addiction in Nassau County.
At the end of the meeting, the Pastors assembled at the altar and prayed for many people in the congregation as well. Pastor Zach Terry of the host church, First Baptist offered the closing prayer.
