Federated Republican Women of Nassau Presents Alyson R. McCullough

February 9, 2024 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

This month, we cordially invite you to our first annual FRWN “Galentines” Luncheon. It’s a day dedicated to the celebration of friendships, particularly those shared amongst women. It’s a perfect opportunity to honor your closest friend by inviting her as your special guest.

FEBRUARY GUEST
Alyson R. McCullough
County Commisioner

District Four: Hilliard, Bryceville, Boulougne, Kings Ferry, Nassau Oaks

Meeting Topics:

Alyson McCullough will discuss how the following issues, which are a priority in the upcoming 2024 election, impact her as a Republican Woman, as well as how she feels they will impact us locally in Nassau County.

  • Abortion
  • Immigration
  • Education (parents rights to educational curriculum and decisions made by schools)
  • Culture Wars (particularly those targeting the LGBTQ community)
  • Transgender Rights (sports, drag shows, gender affirming care for youths)

About Alyson:

Alyson is a wife, mother, taxpayer, and educator. She, her husband, and their four children reside on their farm with their cows, pigs, goats, horses, rabbits, chickens, and sheep in Hilliard. Alyson was raised in Nassau county. At age fifteen started working at St. John’s Seafood and then Turn 4 wings in Hilliard all through high school and college. She continued working adding UPS for five years in logistics as a second job to cover expenses, graduating debt free from college. Alyson has coached little league, school sports, and served as the Parliamentary Procedure coach for the past five years.

Her passion for civil engagement and community involvement stretches from land conservation to sustainability, and everything in between. Alyson is a graduate of West Nassau High school, a scholar student at the University of North Florida and has spent more than a decade as a public educator here in our county. Aly, as her friends and family call her, has every part of herself invested in the county’s future.

Leadership Accolades:

  • 2019 Florida Agriculture Leadership Educator
  • 2020 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics STEM Teacher of the year
  • 2021 Hilliard Middle Senior High School Teacher of the year
  • 2022 Florida Agriculture in the Classroom teacher of the year
  • 2017- present Career Tech Education Chair

The Founding Fathers believed the purpose of government was to protect our “inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Government was not meant to guarantee the outcomes of our efforts, nor support and restrict us from cradle to grave. I am looking forward to serving the citizens of Nassau.
