Brown Bag Lunch
Wednesday, February 7th at noon
In 1562, the first expedition of French Huguenots landed on the shores of Amelia Island— known to them as the Isle de Mai. This arrival began a short-lived but unique chapter in the region’s history, marked by religious conflict, devastating hurricanes, and the raising of Amelia Island’s first of eight flags. February’s Brown Bag Lunch will be presented by Margaret Newton and will be the second event in our year-long speaker series celebrating Fernandina’s 200th anniversary. Join us on February 7th to learn more about this fascinating history!
Attendance is free and open to the public and attendants may bring their lunch. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.
