| Hello Citizens Journal Florida, The federal government is eyeing a regulation to effectively ban gas stoves under the guise of climate activism. Make no mistake: nearly 187 million Americans use natural gas because it is safe, affordable, and reliable. The proposed de facto ban on gas stoves will not save our planet. It will take away consumer choice, end 4.1 million jobs in the natural gas industry, and increase electricity bills making it harder for families during a time of record-breaking inflation. To protect your freedom to purchase affordable appliances, House Republicans have introduced the Save Our Gas Stoves Act and the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act. | On Friday, I introduced a bipartisan resolution supporting the designation of June 9, as “Batten Disease Awareness Day.” Families and caregivers impacted by this disease are often fighting a silent battle due to a lack of public awareness. | The election of North Korea to the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) is yet another example of communist influence at the WHO. For decades, North Korea has violated human rights and has medically neglected its own people. The North Korean regime has no qualifications to be a global heath leader. | I started off the week meeting with dedicated members of the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA). We discussed key issues facing the Sunshine State’s housing industry including supply chain challenges, surging interest rates, and excessive regulations. |

| The Department of State (DoS) has been experiencing record weekly volume of applications since April. Given the influx of applications, the processing times are longer than usual. Routine Passport Service: 10-13 weeks Expedited Passport Service: 7-9 weeks The DoS advises constituents that have an expired passport or a passport expiring within one year to renew their passports even if they do not have travel planned.
