Press Release
From CCDF-USA- Nassau County, 1-24-23
An important issue with regard to reviewing history textbooks came to light last week at the Florida Department of Education meeting in Fernandina Beach. Over 100 volunteers are reviewing History textbooks to ensure that the materials comply with Florida Law. The Teachers’ Edition of textbooks were NOT made available as part of the public review process. Parents need to know the words and philosophies espoused in the teachers’ editions. You can personally send a note to the Florida Department of Education and staff to let them know that the Teachers’ Editions are a CRITICAL element of the textbook review process. Click the link below to send your personal note. It is a simple and easy process that takes just a few minutes. You can customize your email or send as is. https://reps.to/?c=63cf0b471839e Be sure to also mark your calendars for our January 26th Monthly CCDF-Nassau meeting at the Surf Restaurant at 5:30.
