Meet Me At The CrossoverA Monthly Feature

By Jennifer St. Clair, 3-17-23

Whrrrrrrrr…….talk about some strong winds!!! These past few years seem to be record breaking speeds! Windy conditions are definitely not limited to March anymore, the kite flying month I so enjoyed as a child. Here at the beach we expect that gentle ocean “breeze” to cool us down on hot summer days, yet lately, the word gentle certainly cannot describe the gusts of winds blowing across the sand with annoying stinging sensations to exposed skin! It’s too strong for me. And I love the wind!

Standing outside with my face turned upward and arms outstretched as far as I can reach could definitely receive a star as one of my favorite weather moments. (15- 20 mph winds max!) Freedom. Release. Cleansing. Refreshment. Rejuvenation. Letting go. Welcoming in new ideas and opportunities. It is on these days I like to rid myself of the attachments no longer serving my highest and best good. Surprisingly there is often no conscious clue of ever carrying so much baggage and bondage along the daily path of Human Becoming-ness in the first place!

Blow wind! Blow away the debris!!!
Many of the fortunate ones encounter an Earth Angel to help redirect their steps in an entirely different direction once those things no longer block movement. Usually I find these people seem to appear from ‘no where’ when you’re not expecting them. At least that’s been my experience. Thankfully, I have been blessed in this area. Hopefully, I have returned the favor to others along the way by listening to God’s nudging to speak words of truth when need be.

As March winds speed through the upcoming days, I pray the Holy Spirit changes our hearts and orders our steps to be pleasing in His sight. Change is constant, even when we Humans BeComing resist it in every possible scenario. But God knows the plans He has for us. Indeed He does.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
and teach me thy statutes.” Psalm 119:133-135 (KJV)
