CALIRED NEWS–The Online Cambridge Dictionary defines “lawfare” as “the use of legal action to cause problems for an opponent.” According to Pastor Remco Brommet, with True Identity Ministries, “The Left has stepped up efforts to undermine the fairness of the legal system. Lawfare is the term that describes the all-out efforts against President Donald Trump.
“The skewed portrayal of fair lawsuits by left wing media, and the growing intensity of lawfare should concern us. They conspire to erode the fairness and impartiality of our legal system as envisaged by our founding fathers when they established a system of checks and balances in our three-branch government.
“Individual federal and state laws represent the way constitutional law is handled. The more the rule of law is being misused for political purposes, the weaker our Constitution becomes as an absolute and impartial measure against which individual cases should be adjudicated.
“Part of the impartiality of our Constitution comes from biblical law embedded in it. I believe that is why the legal system in America is under heavy attack in so many different ways. The devil hates anything related to the Kingdom of God, including Christian principles in the founding documents of a nation. Lawlessness will abound where the law loses its absoluteness, which is his ultimate goal.”
Remco, (author of https://deeperlifeblog.com/), penned these words on March 29, 2024–before the elections that resulted in another term for Donald J. Trump. He was seeking prayer for John Eastman, who clerked for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and gave legal counsel to President Trump while he was still in office on cases dealing with election fraud. Eastman and Trump’s former personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, both spoke at the Save America Jan. 6, 2021 rally held at Washington, D.C.
These two lawyers as well as almost 100 other lawyers that served President Trump became the targets of Democrat election lawyer, Marc Ellis, the election lawfare mastermind reported by Nancy Huff (contributing writer for Intercessors For America, and an educator who has written about ‘Taking The Mountain of Education”) who writes: “Their first goal is to take away the livelihoods of 100-plus lawyers who support President Trump in his claim that the 2020 election was stolen.
“Two lawyers associated with the newly formed New York law group, Just Security, compiled a target list of 22 lawyers who worked directly with the post-election Trump staff for lawsuits. The lawsuits have resulted in the disbarment or bankruptcy of Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Power, Jenna Ellis, and John Eastman.”
Former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis’ (2020 elections) law license was suspended after a guilty plea in the Georgia election interference case and her law license was suspended in Colorado.
Meanwhile, Dominion Voting Systems after the 2020 elections sued Sidney Powell in a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against her and also against Rudy Giuliani. According to web sources, Dominion Voting Systems made $90 million in 2020 and was asking $650 million in actual damages and the same amount as punitive damages.
Attacks on Eastman resulted in him losing academic positions at the Chapman University School of Law (he was Dean of the School of Law for three years: 2007-2010) and also attacks on the Claremont Institute, where Eastman served as a senior fellow. He was later indicted in Fulton County (Aug., 2023), Georgia; and then in Maricopa County, Arizona (April, 2024) before having The State Bar of California marking his license as “not eligible to practice law” in California (May, 2024).
Barbara Potts “Praying with Authority and Power” shared by Nancy Huff (June 22, 2024): “Father in the power and authority of Jesus Name, we rebuke the adversary attempting to destroy our righteous foundation through our court system and the rule of Law. We declare that every plan and scheme of the devil to divert and dismantle God’s model for the United States Judiciary is null and void.”
