What a fine 2024 Veteran’s day parade, celebrated by local and out of town marchers and drivers! Just a week after a contentious election, there was no sign of discord on this joyous day. Everyone seemed enthusiastic about honoring our veterans, something we could nearly all agree upon. So large was the downtown Fernandina Beach parade that it took about a half hour to pass us by. We could see and feel the upbeat mood, as well as love and respect for our veterans. Felt good just to be there and share with the community.

Fred was waiting on Centre Street for the parade. He just seems to personify American Viet Nam vets. 11-11-24 Veterans Day parade, downtown Fernandina Beach, FL
